I honestly wouldn't be surprised if that ends up happening.

As a VAL fan, our DPS is definitely my biggest concern. As Blank said, Kariv will likely play some DPS with Izayaki on Support. Agilities had his share of bad moments in S1, but he definitely seemed to improve and become more consistent as the season went on. Bunny is more than just a Tracer one-trick. KSF barely played in S1, so I'm not quite sure what to think about him right now. Some sort of move for another DPS would be nice, but we'll see.

That's what I've been thinking, they'll most likely be using English, especially if you consider what happened with Shanghai. I remember Soe saying during one of the broadcasts that in one game, Geguri was trying to tell her supports that she needed heals, but, to them, she sounded like she was just repeatedly swearing, since the words sound very similar to each other.

Yeah, I get what you're saying. I didn't accuse him of being racist, I just said that his comment came off that way, and it definitely would, if taken out of context. I do stand by my point about how mental health issues (i.e. autism) shouldn't be used as insults, as well as the whole "less toxicity" thing, since that's something that we all can agree with.

posted about 5 years ago

EDIT: It seems as if the comment in question was made was about Blizzard and their "pedantic PC-ness", but my point still stands.

DISCLAIMER: I don't want this to turn into a whole big, ugly mess of an argument. We don't need any more toxicity in our community in general, not to mention in the entire world as a whole.

What you said wasn't really banter. At all. Or, at least, it doesn't come off that way. Your comment comes off as, quite obviously given all of the downfrags (-13 at the time of writing), racist. Now, I'm not accusing you, specifically, of being racist, just your comment. And, please, don't use autistic, or any mental health issue for that matter, as an insult. I'm almost certain that I have some minor degree of autism, given that I do have difficulties trying to communicate sometimes, and I know that I have ADD and have been diagnosed with it. It's not fun.

It just doesn't feel the same :(

But it's still the same team, though. It just has a new roster.

Every match would sound like a court case.

Envy v. esports
Last Night's Leftovers v. esports
NRG v. esports (This also sounds like it could be a civil war)
GOATs v. esports (Maybe not in Contenders, Also a very good court case)

But there's still a large amount of people who pay very little attention, if any at all, to T2. That is where the problem lies. In your NHL-AHL comparison, the way to distinguish the Blackhawks and the Wolves is by just using their names. Toronto Defiant could just be referred to as "Defiant", but most teams in OWL are referred to by just using the place that they represent (Come on Florida, just switch to Miami already, so I'd be able to just say city). The exceptions to that are, of course, Valiant and Gladiators, since they're both based in LA. But with Toronto esports, you can only shorten it to Toronto.

Didn't know that they had no clue how to play/counter GOATs. It seemed like they played even worse when they tried to counter GOATs, instead of just playing GOATs right back (4Head). At least Space decided to show up. One of the seven players showing up is better than none of them, I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That's how most sports leagues in the U.S. do things (MLB, NHL, NBA, MLS). The only one that doesn't is the NFL. Each team has a bye week somewhere in the middle of the season, but it isn't the same week for each team.

There's actually something that's called Stockholm syndrome and I think it would be funny if a team was named after it. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stockholm_syndrome

All of the Nordic countries, minus Iceland (Finnsi BibleThump) seem to be the place to keep an eye on right now for up-and-coming talent in EU. Norway & Denmark putting up decent showings in WC, Sweden having a strong history in the game & Finland, of course, qualifying for BlizzCon. I'm sure that we'll definitely be seeing some OWL teams in the region sometime the future, hopefully sooner, rather than later. Speaking of which, if they put a team in Stockholm & it isn't called the Stockholm Syndrome, I will be quite disappointed.

It's innocent until proven guilty, always has been, always will be. But the world seems to think that it's the opposite, guilty until proven innocent. Or, they think that it's guilty until proven innocent, and if innocent, someone was paid off & the trial was a sham, while ignoring any and all evidence, or lack thereof, that proves otherwise.

There's definitely a reason considering the difference in performance between Kungarna & LNL, as well as the differences in where both Kate & mykL currently are in their careers. Kungarna: mykL leaves the main roster to focus on being the team's owner. Kate is the manager. Kungarna fails to make it out of Trials S1 & the roster basically disbands. Kate moves from Kungarna to LNL prior to Trials S2. LNL: They dominate in Trials, easily qualifying for Contenders S2. LNL exceeds expectations by making playoffs. They reach QFs before being knocked out by Envy(sion). Kate then becomes the GM for the new OWL expansion team in D.C. for S2. Meanwhile, mkyL is sitting at home, making up random shit for him to put in a video to create "drama" within the OW community so that people will check out his click-bait YouTube channel. I'm not buying what mykL is selling. Unfortunately, this is considered "journalism" these days.

Kate doing big business already for Washington. Can't wait to see what the rest of the roster, as well as all the other new teams' rosters, will look like. My blind fandom wants to see a team sign RunAway, and if it would be D.C., that would likely mean Bumper would move off of main tank, which I think is probably the weakest role he's shown so far. Also, a tank line of Janus/JJANU would be like Mano/Meko, two great tank players who have similar names. Could it become meta to pick up players who play the same role and have similar names? I suppose we shall see...

Mickie was recruited to Envy by Hulk himself and he quickly became the brightest light of positivity in the Overwatch community. I, along with pretty much everyone else in the community, believed that Mickie was the obvious choice to win this award when it was announced before the season. Considering all of the negativity surrounding the Dallas Fuel this season, the fact that Mickie was able to keep up that Positive Mental Attitude, despite the frustration, drama and dysfunction that plagued Dallas throughout the season, only confirmed to me that there couldn't possibly be someone else who was more deserving to win.
