The One Game Agency is hosting the next major NA & EU competitive Overwatch tournament: the Overwatch PIT Championship. Taking place from March 20th till April 19th, teams will be competing for a $15,000 total prize pot. The winnings will be divided amongst the top 4 teams.

The tournament will see the debut of the new NRG roster following their recent ongoing restructuring and put them head-to-head against the newly reformed Rogue squad, and LG Evil, who have been dominating the North American scene. It remains to be seen which rosters LDLC and Bench Boys will field as LDLC were rumored to have broken up and the Bench Boys have recently faced several roster changes.

Prize Distribution

The overall $15,000 prize pool will be split up accordingly:

  • 1st: $7,125
  • 2nd: $3,225
  • 3rd: $2,250
  • 4th: $1,200

Format

Viewers will recall similarities to the Overwatch Open as the tournament will see NA and EU teams compete in separate open qualifiers featuring up to 128 teams each. 2 teams will advance from the open qualifiers for each region and join 10 direct-invite teams. These 12 teams from each region will then split into two groups of six teams each to be played in a best-of-three round-robin format. The four top teams from these four groups will then advance to the playoffs for a shot at the $15,000 prize pool in their respective regions.
