Let the frag farming commence
BrenCast for Contenders
Sideshow PogChamp Bren PogChamp Dashner PogChamp looks like the crew's back boys!! So hyped!
We enjoy them being succinct too I think :')
Farming nerd stars smh
Good catch - thanks!
I'm ready for Rogue at APEX. Going to be a good season
Harbleu and IDDQD working so hard to put on a showing FeelsBadMan
Explains why Kongdoo and Lunatic-Hai both have seven man rosters this season
Their roster currently has Mendo: https://arena.razerzone.com/teams/profile/Team318672/members . Where did you hear they weren't playing with Mendo?
Admirable would never stoop so low and diminish the value of stars :'( You have to work hard for them. Admirable would never let us down right?
i'm going to get carpal tunnel just from scrolling on this thread @_@
its happening!! PogChamp
Pretty high viewership:
I trusted you :'(
His confidence was definitely very exciting- I hope the scene progresses to a point where we have more top players who feel they have a strong emergency pick they can bring out. Really adds to the excitement as a fan.
Sideshow is actually budget Bren smh BrenChamp
Brasil Gaming House, Counter Logic, Gale Force, Team Liquid, Tempo Storm, and You Guys Get Paid? among teams competing in qualifiers (signups end on the 18th)
Also NRG supposedly will signup. Should be interesting to see!
I honestly couldn't care less how they performed- obviously i'd love to see them do well, but I follow the team for the people. I don't think how they perform is going to really impact their fandom - its not based on them being the top team, its based on the people and their story.
Hopefully yesterday's performance and return to competitive will help motivate them/shake off the rust to be a little stronger today - if they lose this it'll be a very short run for NRG and it'll be disappointing to see their next match be in Korea
You gotta go up before you go down on a coaster!
wait thats not quite right... FeelsBadMan
NRG should just stick to their traditional mains for now bc their "strats" and synergy clearly are not ready yet. They have such strong individual players that they might be able to put up a fight that way!
Yeah this series against Immortals has actually looked relatively decent. To me it seemed like their team play was understandably not just bad but awful, but when they switched to their main heroes (harb hog, iddqd mcree etc) they were fragging well. Hopefully coordination will take this roster far, but it'll take some time
Kings Row attack looked decent for them, the rest was really disappointing though... Hopefully APEX bootcamp will set them straight for OWL
Current plan I believe:
Group A On Stream
NRG vs East Wind
NRG vs Immortals
NRG vs Selfless
Group B On Stream
Rogue vs Tempo Storm
Rogue vs Denial
Rogue vs Meta Athena
Yeah they were going to be in Group B as well, but stepped down yesterday reportedly to give their roster a break. Unfortunate bc imo it might make these groups quite unbalanced in terms of difficulty
"Denial better than EnVyUs"
My boy harbleu about to hand them the official Business lets goooooo!
already on page 3 for me
What an insane lijang map - all of these rounds have been so close for both teams. Glad to have a good finals for this series!
It's Bren PogChamp! Def need to check this out.
I'm honestly surprised they didn't change it after PTR feedback. When reading through patch notes this time I assumed they would've made it tick based but I haven't actually played and tested it out.
Area of effect radius has been decreased from 30 meters to 10 meters
Healing-per-second has been increased by 30% (also applies to Lúcio's Amp It Up ability)
Self-healing has been reduced by 25%
Movement speed increased by 20% when wall riding
Lúcio now receives a burst of speed when leaping off a wall
Should be interesting - hopefully there is a good scale of difficulty so players of all ranges can enjoy
I'll update when the official announcement is out.
Edit: event page https://playoverwatch.com/en-us/events/uprising/
Still 0 stars  Conspiracy time
The true hero of Overwatch
or is that Harsha
Admirable, Harsha, and Sideshow PogChamp
Best edition ever confirmed
I think the "NRG approach" you're referring to makes sense given the state of the game. There currently aren't any "incredibly important" tournaments to attend given the low prize pools/lack of LAN tournaments. Additionally with OWL coming up, it makes sense to focus on building a robust roster ready for that and taking the time to get the right players despite their existing contracts which can take time. If OWL was currently going on/other highstake tournaments, I don't think they would've taken this long. This is essentially the offseason/preseason for OWL so inevitably teams will be having tryouts/taking their time to "perfect" rosters for the main competition.
Slices of apples, trailmix, and/or baby carrots
Damage increased by 25%
Self-healing reduced by 33% (Note this does not affect healing done to other players)
Bonus speed decreased from 30% to 20%
Map rotation expanded to all maps
Update in PTR for lucio, glad to see they are still experimenting
Wouldn't complain if this was what the city lineup looked like - I wish we'd just get a time frame for additional details :/
