preview of Apex S3 finals
i think NRG will win, but it'd be kind of sad if they didn't knowing they'll be playing teams of this caliber except on even ping
Hopefully yesterday's performance and return to competitive will help motivate them/shake off the rust to be a little stronger today - if they lose this it'll be a very short run for NRG and it'll be disappointing to see their next match be in Korea
So Mendo needs to play on east coast and Koreans need to play on west coast. I have a feeling that Mendo is gonna be screwed on this one.
Time to watch my boy Harbleu go on a solo quest while the team fights a 5v6.. Can't wait to see my girl Mendo play hanzo in 2017.. 2-0 Meta all day every day.
Ok you guys just continue to hype NRG just based on their streamer popularity but MARK MY WORDS : NRG will never win any tournaments as long as Selfless and Rogue and many other teams are in NA. You ll see in the future. Please mark my words.
Why are you so toxic baguette, can you fucking chill with your hate machine?
If NRG plays like they did yesterday, no way they'll win, let's hope that doesn't happen tho.
Maybe NRG is more of a LAN tournament team instead of a online one. I say this because at LAN tournaments you get there and start scrimming in the same room as a pose to scrimming from different online connections. That's me having hopeful thinking though.
Part of why it took thwm so long to start entering tournaments was because they wanted to get their foreign players to a local place to play. I dont know the exact details but i would imagine that they are capable of scrimming in the same room if they wanted to.
Pretty sure many still live far apart from one another. I think there is a 'team house' currently where only Numlocked lives. That being said I don't think their performance would have changed all that much yesterday if they were at LAN.
From what they've said, since the squad was officially formed, they havent played much. Harb, Seagull, Iddqd have all said so on their stream. They've only started scrimming every day hardcore for the past 2 weeks roughly, iddqd moved to Vancouver, numlock finally got into the US, so they're basically all on the same continent. Seagull leaves, they sub Mendo who is in Sweden and has been scrimming with them for 4 days. Prior to that time frame, they havent scrimmed much at all, correct me if im wrong since I'm not privy to scrim times, so as a player fan, sucks they are doing poorly, but considering what their situation has been, not surprising. I do expect them to pick it up from here on out though now that the team is in, the house will be in LV and they're gearing up to move there, and OWL is couple months away.
Maybe NRG is more of a LAN tournament team instead of a online one.
Where did i heard this one?
Eh, thats pretty shitty pracitce yeah but given the players on the team I don't think they should have done as bad as they did
Even after all the jokes I still thought they could find their stride at any time and be good, they just should have done that BEFORE their debut
Maybe they should be kicked from the org then. If they aren't hungry enough to practice and do their jobs, they should go find work else where. There are plenty of clans that have hard working members and aren't apart of an org. No more excuses for top org's with underwhelming teams.
You have 1 job and you can't do it. Feels fucken bad man.
so nrg is actually winning against the top 5 Korean team on 300 ping ?
mendo had 100 higher ping than any of them...
Ping is like 120-170ms on west coast. Not literally unplayable, but it obviously sucks. And for Koreans used to playing on <5ms, even worse. (Mendo's like 250ms on west coast, which also sucks.)
Anyway, glad NRG cleaned house with those advantages. Good momentum-builder.
ez never doubted my boys, except when they went 0-6 on the first day but after that I was confident that they won't do it again
atleast not in na
