thaaadZodiakthaaadNRG is really having a hard time getting in to the swing of things it seems. :(Yes, but liquid was playing really well, so there is that...
How do you know if it wasn't streamed? I'd love to have watched :D

They are releasing vods of the unstreamed games at some point I believe.

JingoDamn, lost in OT. NRG has been close every King's Row but never closes.

Feel like that is the kind of thing more tournament experience could help with. Keeping nerves under that pressure and whatnot.

CLMPTepocateMaybe NRG is more of a LAN tournament team instead of a online one. I say this because at LAN tournaments you get there and start scrimming in the same room as a pose to scrimming from different online connections. That's me having hopeful thinking though.Part of why it took thwm so long to start entering tournaments was because they wanted to get their foreign players to a local place to play. I dont know the exact details but i would imagine that they are capable of scrimming in the same room if they wanted to.

Pretty sure many still live far apart from one another. I think there is a 'team house' currently where only Numlocked lives. That being said I don't think their performance would have changed all that much yesterday if they were at LAN.

#3 NRG is now sponsored by Washington D.C. in General Discussion

Important to note (as this could get unfortunately political) that the City of DC itself is separate from the federal government that resides there. Don't want anyone thinking NRG is Trump's team or something similar.

I think cities sponsoring esports teams is a super interesting development. Very similar to the way physical sports currently work. I don't know how it would manifest further, especially given how often roster changes occur, but it'll be great to find out.

It's also possible they were unable to change their roster for the monthly melee after sending it in. If they set up their roster with a few trialists but then a different person signed before the melee started it would be a little awkward.

#13 NRG sign iddqd, will compete in Monthly Melee in News
fraacWhen is the Monthly Melee? Will they have a full team?

I think it's at the end of the month, and either they will have a full team or they will take some prospects to play with them in the melee. idk how the rules for the tournament work though and whether they can change who will be participating if they need to.

MorrisSKYTRiXSHAMorrisIs it just me or was it incredibly disrespectful for Goldenboy to ask whether Envy was gonna keep Mickie on? I mean they just won MLG Vegas right after winning in Korea, probably cementing themselves as the best team in the world, and that's the question you ask? Not only that, but you're asking just one of the players on the team, with Mickie standing right there. I mean there's no doubt in my mind that the rest of Envy love Mickie right now, but that's just a question for another time and place.
He was implyed to be just a sub for these 2 tournaments, then would go back to his normal routine.

I mean yes, but what if they didn't plan on keeping him? Or if they weren't sure yet? Putting Taimou on the spot like that right after that win pretty much forces him to say yes, and then you're baiting everyone crazy hard if they can't keep him for whatever reason.

I really hope it's true that Goldenboy confirmed it beforehand, but that didn't seem to be implied at all, both in the way the question was asked and in how Taimou responded. Plus I still think there were better questions to be asked, but that's the only one he went with.

I agree. Just because they won doesn't meant that they need to keep the sub, but asking right after a win is really making it a loaded question.
