Better always wait for the other side of the story.

I think this team will have a great season. Building around players flexibility is imho the best thing to do for a succesfull team. Also is really interesting the youth camp idea... That would really be a revolution. After this article( great as always Scruba) i have to say that i cant wait to have more news for the roster. This could be THE team.

I honestly believe Numlocked is better than Kuki/same play level.....but he was probably not happy for the no scrim time at the begginig so my guess is: we can even downgrade but a player happy is always better then an unhappy one

This is right. But if you are an NA teams you will always prefer Na players over Eu ones for a local market/fanbase strategy. Next season we will have home stadium. Never understimate the value of the local market.

Nice! Also the big news about LNL could be that they will become the Academy with some players on OWL team? ( I will not surprised if all get picked...i mean Nlaeer Decod and NexX always played with high ping with low ping they will reckt)

posted about 5 years ago

I mean they have liko who is a great player. Imho Hydration is not so important (he is obv a great player and the only one in OWL but in this case teamplay will help them more than Hydration )

I think they could have trade SDB but i am happy for him. He deserve to be starter in a top team.

Yeah you are defenitely right on both things. Actually i dont know why i was convinced you were a player but i totaly got a mistake here. I am sorry for that and i thank you for the correction. For that i asked for people help to find mistakes in it. About the other things i know i have made a lot of grammar/spelling mistakes but since i wanted to make something like this and i did not have a lot of time i could not rewatch it in the moment i posted but I will for sure as soon as I can. I just thought that even with some mistakes ( grammar ones) could be better have some exposure that no exposure at all(anyway i will re-read it asap). Thanks again for the help :D

elo.Tick:
Sister team of Who ( we have org), we have some good names here. Worss ( ex Ldlc and Mkers) a french dps mechanicaly gifted. Then we find ProGi and VitaCoco ( who actually have milited more in the NA tournaments than Eu ones but only the latter is American while the former is german). ProGi will also be Team Germany main tank. VitaCoco is another main tank and played for Kungarna some times ago. Then we have Karra( another vet) and kangakanga( he played for Valfard) as support duo. We pass from IDK polish hitscan, while in the twitter announcements we find ShonP( israelian players who played last year for the nationalteam) as offtank but he is now listed for LastPicks.

LastPicks:
A real interesting team right here. First of all we have two Italian National players: Bimbz and Carnifex. Both always at the top of the italian level and both coming from Samsung Morning Stars Black. Carnifex is arguably one of the best widow is Europe, while Bimbz is a great main supp. His Support teammate will be Daya ( Reserve for team UK) and higly appreciated by 7lions during try outs. Mesic will be the main tank while ShonP(read above) and Obling( former Kaser Littenz and Team Singularity) will be the flex players.

Team Forbidden:
Build by Wizo ( who is now on a break) former manager of YaB. This team is a mix of experience and talent. We have michr( OWKing, Angry Titans) and Taang( Augmenthed Autorithy) as support. From an experience support duo we arrive to a maybe less experienced but really talented tank duo : Helv( main tank for Switzerland) and Kotetsu( he played for Northern Light last Trials). Tseini ( i mean who doesnt know him now?)
and Jellis( reserve for team UK and T3 players for a long time ) are the dps. Right now Far is subbing in for Jellis due to a trip in Japan. Fae played for Golden Sausage last OD and he is one of the best upcoming players in Europe(imho).

Shu's Money Crew EU:
Is praticcaly old That's a Disband who played Contenders and Trials. We have BarbieQ9130 as offtank ( who recently won the lan I64 tournaments in UK), Trispear as Support and Mauz as dps. We also find Zeal as dps, Kolsti as main tank and Izzy as main supp. Kolsti ( former Movistar Riders and a lot of other teams, he is also reserve for Team France) and BarbieQ are probably one of the best(if not
the best) tank duo on the Open Division ( at least on paper). Izzy was the leader of Golden Sausage( i dont think we need more things, even if there are, to praise him). Mauz, Trisper and Zeal are gret players.

Top Dogs:
Starting with the support duo who has awkard( former Bazooka Puppiez palyer) and mon0( actual coach of Team Denmark, he played also with Team Singularity, Bazooka Puppiez, Mosaic/6nakes and Copenhagen Flames) we cansniff quality. Another ex-Contenders players on dps duty is SpoXez, who has show impressive ability on his role. eMil ( who played for Orgless and Hungry, Red Reserve , YaB etc..)is a pleasant return after a break he took from the scene. Ruape come from Little Ducklings( top 16 last OD), Ence and Helsinki Esports. Hyper-Aggressive Main Tank who is already proven. ending with JBeans british player on hitscan role. Hayko and Almostpanda are also listed on the team. Hayko played for Copenhagen Flames and 6nakes. While Almostpanda( who is back on tournaments after some time) played for Esporati and Royal Bandits.

Samsung Morning Stars Academy:
After some try outs Samsung Team decide the player for his academy team. Composed mostly by young talent we can find Doggo ( 15yo danish flex support player ) and Akke (17yo offtank who played for a lot of teams like FlatEarth, Penta Esports, Helsinki Reds). With them we have LukStar( danish flex dps) 16yo, Flabajack( 20yo main support from UK); jix(16yo) Luke(15yo) and Amaranth(25yo) from Italy.

HRZ Relentless: MrGertex is a great Dva player( he was doing PokoBomb long time before Poko start). With him the ex-Team Italy flex/main tank Cerys and BlueX ( who played recently for Fortisgg). Another possibly surprising team.

Other teams to look for:
TeamExile Overwatch
Oshtekk Warriors
Check esports
Unprofessional
Ronin Horde
Gamewawe
Team Wawy
Team Contemno
Chillmonster Gaming
XenoFlask
The Gatekeepers
Katchaw
Pori Aces

So i know i am a bit late but here a thread about the Best Open Division teams for me in this Season in E. As always Europe is full of talent and if i missed someone or if i made mistakes please let me know so no one will be left behind :D. ( Teams are not listed in some sort of order but just as i find them).

Eminence Esports:
The two most recognizable players are Qvist:a swedish dps player who is in the T3 scene from a long ago (for sure more than a year). He never really found succes but he is a
veteran. The other important name is Vortex: a german dps player who played most notably in the first Angry Titans roster. He is a veteran too.

Samsung Morning Stars Blue:
Nisa: italian flex support, the only with Carnifex in all the 3 main roster of Team Italy, He played since beta at italians top level and the he tried go Europe with UB team ( almost qualified for Takeover2), then he pass to Mkers and Samsung Morning Stars Black ( he is the only one Samsung decided to keep). He is probably the best italian player right now.
DragonEddy: italian offtank. Selected for Samsung Morning Stars since the start of the project. He was select with a sort of Talent show/tournaments Samsung made to choose the team. He is the rising italian star ( he is on the World cup team). Tae, Drido , Chubz: 3 french players who come in the team for this open division. Tae already played some tournaments as dps and now he is rank 1 on ladder Eu ( if i am not wrong).Mechanically hypergifted but he probably need some more experiences. Drido is like 15/16 yo, he played in Conteders S1 alongside with Chubz for Copenhagen Flames. Probably the best Mercy in EU. Chubz is on the scene from like the start of Overwatch Esports : he played for a lot of french top teams ( like Bonjour, Sydioda, Team Vitality etc..) really aggressive main tank and really good with both Rein and Wiston, OWL level. LUFT: From Switzerland with happiness LUFT is a main tank coming from top Italian scene. He is on the Italian World cup team and has a more passive style compared to Chubz. thebigone: italian dps coming from italian scene. Not outstanding but always consistent with hitscans and hanzo. Linepro, Najiny: both are still on team but are not listed on OD page, i can tell for sure Najiny is still scrimming with them( 8 players cap probably the problem). He is a flex dps young but really skilled. Linepro is Linepro, Laser Kittenz, TSM , etc... One of the best Brigitte in Europe and a really good and smart Lucio. He probably got benched for Drido. No announcements yet from the team tho. This team made the last Trials nbut they ended 7th, the team dropped the other team ( Black who
was supposed to be the best team) and stick with only Blue team. DNCE left and Nisa join as flex support. They already beated Huge Players in this OD.

Könige:
No outstanding names but the focus is on teamplay. They went 8-2 last OD losing last 2 games 'thanks' to a mental breackdown probably. Consistent team who has all the quality to end top 16th.

#RAKIDUSHAT,NYYRIKKI Esports,orKs Grand Poitiers White:
I put all these teams here cause i think they are a sort of mid/high-tier teams( so low top 16 at their best). Nyyrikki from Finalnd,Rakidushat from Russia and Orks from France. For Nyyrikki Baito is the dps Super Star, really good players coming from the Ence roster. Nyyrikki recently finish 3rd in the Assembly behind TrailBlazers and Gigganti. #Rakidushat is a really good team but they never really archieve something. orKs organization is on Overwatch from a lot. They won some lan but only with star roster only for these tournaments. Their OD roster is pretty interesting but no outstanding players, they already losed to Globus Gaming and now they cant fail once again.

TrailBlazers:
Formed mostly by ex-Nemesis players ( a full finnish team). We find most notably Cali, the offtank wonderkid. Higly considered by all the finnish scene. He played also with Ence. This team ended up 2nd in Assembly Defenitely. Open Division playoffs worthy. They already beated Check esports.

Sørby Esport:
Full Danish roster with ex-Contenders players of Team Singularity like Lind(support) and FahL(dps/flex). They also have in team Sindustries(coach) and Watio. The latter had played some times as support with Bazooka Puppiez but he is mostly recognizable for his time in Copenhagen Flames ( he did not played Contenders tho).Lind played with team Singularity since Fragsters. He come along with Fahl from Kaser Littenz ( who were signed by TS).

Globus Gaming:
Half italian team( both supports Adnar,Tia and main tank Legol are italians). Munsai is portuguese and Tomkas is Czech. Tomkas played for eSuba esports (best Czech team). Legol come from top Italians team alongside with Tia. They then tried the European way first with a spanish team and then with a mixed ( mostly italian team) who ended top 16 last season ( Sparrow Shock). Munsai also played in top-16 last season for Rentless(ex-Manticore).Adnar played for Könige last OD (he is one of the backups for the italian national team). He also was one of the choosen by Samsung Morning Stars in the tournaments/talent shows i was writing up there.

Huge players:
Another upcoming team, most recognizable player is probably nesty. They proved themselves in the last months with GO4Overwatch ( even if with some roster changes). Nesty is a dutch player who have a lot of experiences in the T3 tournaments. They already losed to SMS Blue but the run is not already end for them.

HSL esports, HSL Academy:
This org picked up the old Koord Narwhals rosterw who made it in the last OD playoffs and some reconizable players. Starting with the Academy team we find most notably A10 ( offtank for Golden Sausage last open division and member of the Dutch team as reserve), Corn ( ex-main tank of Kord Narwhals and main tank for the Netherland National team), we have also R0IV ( from most notably Last Rites) a spanish vet. Along with them we have some other interesting prospect like B8R. HSL esports has some big names : Hidan first of all (coming from NA Contenders with Skyfoxes). No word for him since his results speaks for himself (Misfits, Luminosity Blue, Iceblockgg, Skyfoxes etc). With him we find the main tank Milkyman ( recently played in Na Contenders for Mayhem Academy), an amazing main tank who played in a lot of T3 team like Augmented Autorithy and others. We Also have Sardis and Ascoft togheter from a long time, most notably on Wind and Rain gg togheter. Experienced and skilled players. Last but not least we have zYKK and Tek36 as part of the team. I dont think Tek need some introduction but he is here since closed beta playing for some high tier teams like G2 Esports, Penta esports etc. zYKK is a dps player who played most notably for Gamers Origins.

Rise and Shine:
Would not be an Open Division without Kyb ( the french one ) and his teams who always go far even if not expected. Besides him ( who is an huge player) we find Shuh the offtank that Daemon praised during Team France try outs.

Qlash:
Mixed italian/european team last OD they ended 16 and they make it into the playoffs. Probably theywill aim for the same this year. A good team.

Nanashi Overwatch:
kr4tosdigga is back!! For who dont remeber him he played for Ninjas with Attitude
and other old top teams. With him NiwOr as main tank ( CE Sabadell eSports).

VTILTE:
Another long time team from Eastern Europe. Dont undervalue them.

I remember Brad saying in an interwiew that iddqd is the most complete hitscan they have, so he is maybe a better fit as a sub cause he let you prepared to different situations. Also he has no market value while Danteh ,specially, but also Babybay have it. I will not be surprised if they just release him but i will not be surprised either if they stay with him.
Ps: i know Brad is no more the coach but his comments have a value.

posted about 5 years ago

About Linkrz imho that is what killed Houston. I love flexible players and he is that but for me they need to run Linkrz as Hitscan only when they have to play double hitscan. One of Houston problem was the fact they didnt have a clearly dps lineup, Linkrz is a great hitscan Mccree/Widow like but he is not a top tier tracer, playing him as hitscan with a projectile bring you to have less flexibility( that is a sort of no sense situation cause Linkrz is a flexgod). For that i think Houston should consider to take Linkrz as Projectile main and Hitscan only when paired with another hitscan. All of this are personal opinion tho and i consider the fact that Houston will not change much. If they decide to rebuild then i can totaly agree with you but for now this is what i think :D

I just wanted to discuss the title with you guys, imho:

London Spitfire: they already got rid off the surplus before. Maybe they could trade one between Nus or Closer since their values increased a lot thanks to the championship.

Philadelphia Fusion: thanks to the second place the players have a big market value. First of all i think we will not seen Joelmeister as a player for Philly and honestly i dont seen him as a player too, but i will not be surprised if he become an analyst/assistant coach or if he stay as a player for an expansion team. Dayfly is the other one who didnt showed up a lot this season, but he did his job as sub pretty well, also his market power is very low outside koreans roster so he could both ends up as sub for Philly or for a korean/asian roster ( i will not be surprised if Philly release him and he ends up on a Contenders team but while they wait for Alarm i dont think he is a bad sub). Now the real players who will have a huge price on the market will be: SDB,Fragi,Snillo,Hotba. SDB is a top player and he is pretty much a waste of talent on the bench, plus a lot of teams would love to have him as holder, he will probably be the hottest player on the martket. I am not sure if Philly will change SDB or Snillo but imho they will do that : Zacharee can cover both roles and imho Philly will follow FU path tying to get more americans on the team. Snillo could be a big add for a team like Houston or Dallas ( Effect situation, but only if they get rid of an Hitscan). I dont think both SDB and Snillo will leave, but if Snillo leave i think is not impossible to think about a Fragi trade, a Rein like him would have a good value on the market and a bunch of team could need it, and if they follow FU path BeastHalo will be likely enter the team. In the end i think Philly could make a choice and decide to trade one between Hotba and Poko( and i dont think they would trade Poko), even if this will probably not happens i think a lot of teams could take Hotba over their offtanks ( Dallas, maybe Glad if they trade Void, etc..). But in the end Philly could even stack with the actual team with really just a player change or even none thanks to the friendship that the team seems has built.

New York Excelsior: The core will probably be the same. I can see Anamo and Janus traded ( i dont think both will be traded tho). I think they will sign Flow3r and then they will trade either him or Pine ( but like 90% Nanohana). Nenne could follow the same path or stay as a two-way player.

Los Angeles Valiant: the main roster will probably stay the same. Important changes could come from the sub: Bunny has lose his big market value due to the tracer "nerf" but a team like Houston or Dallas could take him to solve their tracer problems. All the other sub could be change or released for a reason or another, probaly the other player with some real market besides Bunny will be Izayaki. i can see Finnsi and Numlocked staying as sub, KSF too as he is young and he can improve. I think Verbo could be a reallhy interesting add for an American expasion teams thaks to his experiences.

Boston Uprising: one between Neko and Aimgod will leave and he will probably be the latter, his adding seemed more like for trading him for S2 more than a real add. Kalios is a good sub and since i dont think he will be take as holder from another team ( even if Florida/Shanghai/asian expansion team could use him) he will probably stay. I can see Avast taking a coaching/analyst job while Snow will probably be a sub. Kellex will probably stay but maybe the team could think about taking another main support( i dont think so tho).

Los Angeles Gladiators: After all i dont see Fissure Staying. He will probably be replaced by Panker but i could see some strange move like Fragi in ( aggressive style and finnish friendship). Not sure if IRemiix will stay but he proved to be solid, i think we will see him in the next OWL season. With Fissure going Void may go too, while Bishu will probably stay imho. I also see some cleaning in the dps zone with Asher and/or Silk on the leaving list. While Asher is probably more likely to go Silk could remain thanks to his flexibility.

Houston Outlaws: If Mendo will stay again in the team as a player pls fire Flame. Too much good talent to waste an OWL spot with a streamer who doesnt want to play. He is a good streamer but he is not a pro-player. Clockwork is another player we will probably not see next season. Besides Mendo they need to get a real tracer main and decide if Linkrz will be hitscan or projectile. I can see Jake remaining as analyst or as a sub, i dont really see Arnhan but i dont think they will trade him while Tairong is the coach. I dont think they will trade any tanks but in case FCT is more likely than Muma to leave. I dont see Boink still in OWL and probably Bani will be moved as permanent sub.

Seoul Dynasty: player i dont see in the team next year: Kuki, Weekend, Gido, Xepher, Gambler. They will probably have tobi and miro staying as sub, they will also get a better Zen than Jehong. Probably mostly of the leavers will be relegated in Contenders at least for the begininning of OWL S2 i dont see a big market for them except maybe Gambler and Weekend as sub.

San Francisco Shock: they are in a strange position. Like they could change no one or all the team. I see Nevix traded to Florida or an expansion team. Someone between Danteh ( who has a big market in America) , Babybay and iddqd will probably be traded. While iddqd is the most likely i think he wil stay since is the most complete hitscan/tracer on the roster even if he his a worst tracer than Danteh and a worst hitscan than Babybay. I see Dhak as an assistan coach, Nomy will stay as sub or he will be out of the league.

Dallas Fuel: I honestly see Effect traded maybe to Seoul, he did not have a positive impact on the team even when he played and i think also for his best he need to relax or join a full korean roster( while probably he would be better followed by a western team who could help him with a psychologist not really used by koreans for what i understood). They wil probably trade an hitscan between Taimou and Akm and with a Paris slot the choice is easy. Cocco will probably leave in some ways and i dont really know about my boy Chips.

Florida Mayhem: Even if all the people praised Sayaplayer he actually destroyed the FM momentum. They had some good results then Saya join and all come back as before or even worse. People say trade Saya cause Saya doesnt deserve that, i say trade Saya cause he destroyed your season. Besides him is difficult think who will leave. Probably Cwoosh or Zappis but i think they will stay as sub thanks to their flexibilty, maybe Logix. I can see Zebbo taking an analyst role and FM taking another Zen players using Zuppeh for Ana. Shax Could be the help they need.I also dont see AwesomeGuy stay with the team.

Shanghai Dragons: management said they will stay with most of the players. Imho they need a total reset starting with Diya. Stars players are not always the better thing for a team. SHD remain a mess tho.

What do you guys think? Who will leave wich team? Lets start some nice discussion :D

2 clearly big favourites but i think all the other 4 could make an upset ( UK and France are the favorite obv)...
France:honestly i would have seen drido instead of winz and Asking instead of AKM for team France soo i think they could go a bit below the expectation.
Uk: super happy for ksp he deserve that, the team seems the better they could have or at least really near to that, i see them over France if the games weren't in Paris.
Netherlands: they have the major upset factor, their team is stacked and they have both experience and upcoming talent, really skilled team.
Italy: Not really a big fan of the double main tank choices but the team seems in condition( i hope) to do better than last year. HeartBeat is a big surprise for all cant wait to see him in game. Nisa and DragonEddy will surprise a lot of Twitch watchers imho :D
