The Saudi Arabian Federation for Electronic and Intellectual Sports has announced the Saudi Regional Tournament. The tournament boasts a 1,000,000 SR ($266,600~ USD) prize pool, with teams from Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates set to compete for their share of the impressive pool.

The online stage of the tournament will kick off on the 18th of May and end on the 25th of May. 64 Saudi teams and 64 teams from the seven other eligible countries will compete in a single elimination bracket, with matches played in a best-of-five maps format. The top eight teams from the first stage will qualify for the LAN playoffs, held sometime between the 31st of May and the 6th of June.

The 1,000,000 SR ($266,600~ USD) prize pool will be distributed as detailed below:

  • 1st - 600,000 SR ($160,000~ USD)
  • 2nd - 250,000 SR ($66,700~ USD)
  • 3rd - 150,000 SR ($40,000~ USD)
