Yes, that was true! His scenario was a little bit different. While sinatraa wasn't eligible to play when he first signed his contract, he would have become eligible to play during the season he was signed. He was fair game to sign because of that.

Since Leave wasn't going to turn 18 during the 2019 season, the Hunters couldn't sign him until the offseason.

"Leave is ineligible to receive an Overwatch League contract at this time and has thus joined the Hunters as "contracted talent." They will look to sign him to their Overwatch League roster for the 2020 season as soon as they are allowed to under the league's rules." - From our article when they made the Leave announcement (https://www.over.gg/11804/leave-joins-the-hunters-as-contracted-talent)

The list they released is strictly for players who were already on rosters. While Leave will be on their roster (assuming nothing went south between when that announcement was made and now), he isn't yet.

A player under team option means that the team can choose to keep them under contract another year or let the player's contract expire and make them a free agency.

Basically, it's a year of the contract the team has the option to commit to or not.

I think it is. Changes in general managers are a big part of the offseason!

Also I added a few more things changes that occurred during Stage 4/playoffs because it seems as if that is when offseason changes really began.

As a note to anyone reading this with questions about ArK, I am currently including him on the roster because he tweeted a follow-up (https://twitter.com/Arkyjun/status/1178720627357704192?s=20) that contradicts his original free agency tweet (https://twitter.com/Arkyjun/status/1178718926173175808?s=19). I will update ArK's status after clarifying with the team.

KuroiRyuu is correct. Both Dpei and JohnGalt are currently still with the team for the time being.

It has been confirmed SABAGOD will be remaining with the org as a streamer rather than a player.

We don't know his status for sure. He was listed in the article because the team said they were retaining him, however, he has not actually stated himself that he's coming out of retirement. We'll change his status on the team page when we actually know what he's doing with his career.

Regardless if it's a stage with an enormous change, Stage 4 is still part of the season. It doesn't make sense to have a seasonal MVP award and not include part of the season when considering it. A player who is most valuable to their team this season should be valuable to them in both GOATs and 2-2-2.

It will be Sunday afternoon in Korea I guess... It would make more sense to flip the games if they're going for a Korean/Chinese friendly time though.

Washington actually haven't gone 0-7 yet, they've gone 1-6 twice. The teams to go 0-7 so far are the Valiant, Outlaws, and Mayhem.

I personally would like to see team logos rather than flags since the flags of origin don't mean much for OWL teams. However, I am not sure how good or distinguishable they would look if scaled down to the size of flags nor am I sure how much others want that change. Discussion about this is good though, and I'm curious to see what everyone thinks about this topic!

While it's possible, I have my doubts. I don't see a reason Immortals would want to spend cash improving a team they're about to sell and will likely be priced based on fandom as opposed to quality of team.

Thanks, I love this! I almost added a separate section where I did just this, but decided against it as I thought the article was getting bloated. You wrote this well and I'm regretting leaving this out now. Excellent work!

I addressed the Spitfire's weak schedule in the rankings themselves, but I always get messages about ranking the Fusion too high so I'll address both here.

There are only four teams that are convincingly good so far, and only the Reign have a win off of any one of them this stage. What that means is that everyone is beating "bad teams" because no one is beating the good teams.

I can see an argument for Dynasty over Spitfire, but the Spitfire couldn't possibly go any lower than 6th because no one else is looking good enough to warrant being ahead of them (despite their SoS).

The Fusion are in a similar boat. Sure, they don't look good. I recognize that. Neither does anyone else. I don't see the Fuel staying ahead of them after an 0-8 week that included one team that's supposed to be about their level. I don't see putting the Dragons ahead of them because like the Fusion and Spitfire, they have beat weaker teams (except their overall record is worse). The Hunters aren't ahead of them because they're on a losing streak in which they look pretty bad.

Yes, these teams have pretty weak arguments for 5th and 7th rankings, but everyone below them has even weaker arguments. Even if you do lower where they're ranked, you can only lower their ranking so far before you're lifting up even less deserving teams. That's why the Spitfire and Fusion are where they are.
