After several weeks of teasing player acquisitions and nationalities, the Bazooka Puppiez have finally announced their rebuilt roster and debuted their new acquisitions with a victorious run in the latest ESL Overwatch weekly.

The Bazooka Puppiez formed shortly before Contenders Season Zero as a team of players trying to showcase themselves for potential Overwatch League suitors. While an impressive Cinderella run netted them a 3rd/4th place finish, the team was unable to sustain its initial level of success. Their performance in Contenders Season One 2017 was not enough to earn a single victory during the round robin.

The team attributed their poor performance in Season One to issues with chemistry that stemmed from many of the players having different visions of the game. Despite attempts to overcome their synergy issues by bringing in new players and coaches, the squad was unable to find success and decided to go their separate ways at the end of Contenders.

The announcement of the team's disbanding left open the possibility of a rebuild, and it would soon become apparent that rebuild was real and based around Meza and Mete. With the tank pair remaining intact, the Bazooka Puppiez looked for DPS and support players to carve out their new roster.

At DPS, the Puppiez will be utilizing a pair of players who represented their countries in the World Cup. Former Hollywood Hammers and Team Germany Tracer Nesh will be dishing out damage alongside DANYE of the Polish national team.

The heals of the team will come courtesy of a duo that already has plenty of experience playing together. Mono and Watio, formerly of the Copenhagen Flames, will be anchoring the roster's backline.

With the recent announcement of detailed Contenders news and rules, it has been revealed that the Bazooka Puppiez will retain their Contenders spot for Contenders Season One 2018. The new Bazooka Puppiez roster will play against a London Spitfire academy team, rebuilt rosters from last season's Contenders participants, and other teams to qualify from Contenders Trials.
