Japanese organisation DeToNator have announced their acquisition of yet another Overwatch roster, unveiling DeToNator.KOREA. The all-Korean squad is the organisation's third Overwatch team, joining DeToNator.GOLD and DeTonator.BLACK. This announcement comes after months of trialling players for the roster, dating back to March this year.

DeToNator.KOREA plans to enter the Overwatch Pacific Championship Season 2 Qualifiers, with the intention of supporting the roster throughout the second season if they qualify. DeToNator.KOREA will join their sister team DeToNator.GOLD in the qualifiers if Blizzard accepts their application, due to GOLD's status as one of the league's bottom two teams. If unsuccessful in acquiring entry into the Pacific Championship, the Korean roster will work on making their way into future seasons of APEX.

DeToNator.KOREA are still trialling players, with only five currently signed. Expect a sixth member to be announced in the near future, as sign ups for the Pacific Championship Qualifiers close on the 18th of June.

The roster for DeToNator.KOREA currently stands as:

  • Choi "Trona" Joon-Hyung (DPS)
  • Kim "Raphael" Han-Byeol (Flex)
  • Yoo "Beksul" Tae-Young (Tank)
  • Lee "NakYup" Yoo-Bin (Support)
  • Song "Hymn" Hyun-Jo (Support)
  • Hong "Sungwoo" Sung-Woo (Coach)

Edit: DeToNator have announced the addition of off-tank player IVAR, rounding out the roster ahead of the Pacific Championship qualifiers.
