After the NGE Winter Premiere, rumours started to surface that harbleu was looking to step down from his long-time position in compLexity. Recently on stream, harbleu confirmed that this was the case and that he had stepped down from the starting lineup to explore other options.

harbleu stated that he would take his time exploring new options and focus on streaming in the meantime. As he is still under contract with compLexity, any interested parties will likely have to pay a buy-out for the star flex. With reports of TSM trying to complete a roster and NRG still undergoing a big restructure, there are certainly plenty of options available.

compLexity had mixed results throughout the tail end of 2016 and the start of 2017. At both Dreamhack Winter and the NGE Winter Premiere they went out in disappointing fashion, while at MLG Vegas they showed fans a glimpse of what they were capable of. They took EnVyUs to three maps, almost knocking out the eventual champions, and harbleu was key to this on both Roadhog and Zarya.

Even in those disappointing results harbleu stood out as the player taking his team to the next level. Early on in his career he established himself as one of the best Roadhogs in the West; towards the end of 2016 harbleu played more Zarya and once again demonstrated his ability, charging ultimates ludicrously fast, even flexing on to Tracer to facilitate a dive comp more recently.

It was perhaps inevitable that a player of harbleu's calibre would eventually look to join a more established top tier team, to attempt to put himself among the best lineups in the world. While the future is uncertain for harbleu, at the moment he has made himself hot property and it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

The other burning question is how compLexity will replace a player of his talents and how this will shape the rest of their 2017 with the Overwatch League looming. Jkw also took a step down from the starting roster before the Winter Premiere but his potential replacement, Winghaven, has recently been confirmed as the main tank for TwoEasy's new Bench Boys project.
