What team did Logix come from before joining Misfits?

posted about 6 years ago

LH with both EscA and LTJ playing simultaneously just doesn't feel like a strong team, let alone a versatile/reactive one like you need to do well in top tier competition.

Is there a prizepool for this event or is it like Blizzcon's tournament where it was bragging rights only?

Up until a week or so ago I had no idea who Jake even was. Now that I've seen him play and seen interviews conducted w/ him, he's probably my favorite NA player now.

Rascal/birdring/Void is an amazing trio right now. I think they match up really well vs. LH too, rooting for them!

What does FNRGFE stand for?

Jaru is pure PogChamp, best of luck to him

eUnited looked like vintage Reunited, nice to see these guys still got some fuel in the tank.

Didn't even know EG had an OW team..

Rooting for LK because I want to see who is really better, puppies or kittens.

Misfits ... NotLikeThis

123 is a current reminder that team logos matter

Ah man... Misfits was looking so good and then this? I'm so confused I can't even

LH 4-2, not really buying into AFB hype train since they're schedule this season was not really that difficult. LH will be the toughest team they face all season and I think LH has the stronger team overall.

It's kind of funny a few months ago when WhoRU joined the team, nobody in the west knew his name. Now he is arguably LH's most impactful player. Hope he comes back soon, LH just isn't the same with the WhoRU/Miro combo, so fun to watch.

Misfits looked as good as they have as a team in the group stage. Let's hope TviQ & the Swedes can keep the ball rolling!

I don't know about anyone else, but I love 123's team logo xD

Esper and Dummy should make an IRL stream show called "Reddit/Twitch Silvers Got Us >8"

Enigma, all around good guy and great player. Love how he says "I'm sure the team will continue to surprise the community, especially with coolmatt in my place" as if CM69 is some kind of major upgrade. No disrespect to CM69, but I've always thought Enigma was a top-tier player. Best of luck to both.

I seriously was screaming like a little Korean school girl when Jehong pocketed/nano'd Tobi's Zenyatta to stall and eventually give LH enough time to contest and win in OT

Decisive.

Agreed. Was a tough run this time around but wishing the best of luck moving forward.

Hopefully WhoRU feels better soon because it's pretty obvious LH is a few steps off balance without him. WP by KDP though, Rascal/birdring duo is legit.

Anyone else feel like Envy might have pushed that Sombra 2nd support strat on Hollywood a bit too hard? I mean I loved the series as a whole (Taimou on Widow on Lijiang, the attack Junkrat from X6 on Dorato attack) but the Sombra pick in the 5th map kinda made me feel like Envy is still trying to figure out their identity.

GGWP X6. Taimou's Widow on Lijiang was PogChamp af

Deserved and surprised it took so long for the right people to notice. The guy is actually toxic, and I hate using that word. Hopefully he grows up from this.

Is Misfits is NA or are they playing with EU ping?

Best of luck to Lui, definitely a quality player who is unlucky that EFFECT is such a nutty freak of nature.

Good to see Pookz and Dogman getting another shot on a competitive team. Though no connorJ is a bummer, dude was a HogGod.

Crazy to think almost a year has passed since the amazingly successful World Cup from last Blizzcon. So much time has passed and the OW competitive scene has taken a complete nosedive. Thanks Blizzard for successfully suffocating your own competitive game with your completely over-hyped and more than likely to fail Overwatch League.

Whether people like it or not, EnVyUs is the most qualified team to participate from EU/NA. As much as I like East Wind, Selfless, and Immortals, I still think they're a bit away from competing with the likes of LH, Runaway, the Kongdoo's and Meta Athena.

Not exactly hyped about this since EnVyUs has begun to bore me with how they haven't adapted to a changing meta.

This is one of the biggest misconceptions in professional sports/competition. Getting stomped repeatedly by superior teams week in and week out is definitely not a benefit to a team, especially a newly formed one. To compete at a high level requires skill, teamwork and just as importantly, CONFIDENCE. You're confidence is battered and beaten to the point where you no longer know where you stand in the competitive meta. Young players are especially susceptible to this.

You accept a challenge when you are ready to accept it, you don't go blindly rushing into situations you and your team are not prepared for. Being 0-6 in NA Alienware Monthly Melee speaks volumes about their current form. I would highly suggest not participating if I was NRG management. For the sake of their brand and their player's psyche.

Rogue was a pretty EZ win and I think most saw that coming, but Movistars? Say who now? GJ & WP to those guys, they proved they weren't a fluke.

Rubikon was lights out on Ana this match. Misfits still looks like they're trying to find their identity. Hopefully it comes together soon.

Wow, did not see this coming.

I feel like I haven't seen LW Blue in forever. Really looking forward to nano vs. Rascal/Ever again, some of the biggest talents in the game right now.

I actually think NV matches up pretty well vs. LH considering both teams are pretty set in their ways and Taimou might be the best Genji counter in the game. Whoever executes better will come out on top.

posted about 7 years ago

I kind of agree that many people are over-polarizing the new "weaknesses" of Envy's current roster in the newest meta. My main concern however is their utter lack of any competent projectile DPS. Regardless of what people might think or say, this IS a problem for any competitive team.

Is Taimou going to suddenly start playing Genji/Pharah? They don't even have a reliable Tracer player so their lack of flexibility/versatility could come to bite them in the ass soon.

Personally I think Meta is going to win 3-2 because they've shown better/more consistent form. But I wouldn't be surprised if NV came out and just stomped them 3-0 either.

The move certainly makes sense. NRG has never had a top-tier hitscan player and with iddqp in the fold, they finally have one of the very best in that department. Only time will tell exactly how much of an impact he will make, especially initially, but he is certainly an upgrade over Gods and Clockwork.

I always felt like coL was on the cusp of breaking into the top-tier of teams but they always seem to come a bit short where the premier teams elevate their game to meet the challenge.

Either way best of luck to Harb as I think he deserves a chance to prove himself on an elite team! Good guy and good player similar to Seagull so it'd be interesting to see them pair up. Harb Zarya + Seagull Hanzo could be pretty scary!

posted about 7 years ago

Really hoping this weeks matches aren't quick and easy 3-1/3-0's like we've seen in the other previously hyped up match-ups like RunAway vs. KDP, LH vs. LWB and Misfits vs. AFR.

posted about 7 years ago

I think it would have been best off if TSM had simply given him a very stern warning. Something like a temporary suspension even before he played his first match. Something that let him know he's expected to maintain a certain level of professionalism (even though I personally don't think this shit is serious at all).

Completely removing him from the team is harsh, no two ways about it. Especially since TSM is partially to blame for not doing their research as other posters have stated above.
