This follows two championship seasons in Contenders South America.

Lowkey Esports formed as a merger between the top two teams in Contenders South America near the beginning of 2019.

The combination of the two teams proved to be an effective one as Lowkey managed to win the championship in both seasons of Contenders South America. They lost only one match between the two seasons.

They were unable to translate that success into the Atlantic Showdown and lost both matches they played in the tournament. They lost 3-0 in both matches.

Lowkey's starting six have 16 Contenders South America titles between them. Two of their players, liko and honorato , have four Contenders titles each. Two more, murizzz and ole , have three Contenders titles each. There have been five seasons of Contenders South America in total.

The players have time to find a new organization or find new teams before the start of the next Contenders season. That season doesn't begin until 2020.
