A rebrand and support addition were not the only changes made to North American team ARC 6 — a week before the BEAT Invitational, the team decided to trial ex-Misfits coach, Peak. In an effort to strengthen the support staff of the roster, management decided to reach out to the coach as a trial member.

Jerkkit and Kitta reached out to me after looking into the coaches in their Overwatch scene, and I happened to be at the top of the list. So, after an interview with them, they were confident that I was going to be worth a trial and so I started working with them the day after.

Peak implemented his system for the team immediately and to strong results. The team claims to have felt improvement during every single day leading up to the BEAT Invitational, where they placed third. Despite a relatively rough match against Immortals in the lower bracket finals, ARC 6 had an incredible performance against Rogue, taking the French conquistadors to the brink by jumping out to an immediate 2-0 lead.

With all said and done, the team decided that Peak's style and approach to the game meshed well with the rising stars on ARC 6, and management offered him a permanent position. When asked about his thoughts on the results of BEAT, Peak had this to say:

I am proud of the guys and the staff for getting that close, because we're hungry for that thrill more than ever! To win you first have to lose.
