The rematch we're waiting for
Rival games rarely are stomps. Even though I wanna say EnVy takes it with a clean crisp 4-0, Rogue will up their game for this one.
3-1 or 3-2 for EnVy.
Can't help but feel Envy will win this 4-0 but with all the maps being really close, is winz playing btw?
My heart wants Rogue but also likes Envy and the boys. Totally depends which Rogue shows up but either way its gonna be a tough match for them, Envy looks out of this world right now.
Taimou said on discord that they're trashing Rogue in scrims. Rogue has been struggling like crazy in Contenders. Envy wins easily. 4-1. I can even see a 4-0 if Rogue still has not improved since their envision match.
LUL @ teams that passed on EFFECT, really turned out to be what Envy needed to balance out Taimou's...unique hero pool. If Rogue continue to struggle as they have I can see this a 4-0 for Envy, but they have more than 3 weeks to prepare for this so you never know by then.
The legendary rematch. I think NV should be able to take this pretty handily with either a 3-1 or a 4-0 still should be a super hype matchup. I hope it isn't a stomp and we get to see some great back and forth play but with the way Rogue has been playing that doesn't seem likely.
It would be huge bm if they stick harry on soldier during this series and taimou on lucio and he'll end up having better stats than winz LuL
Rogue pretty much need a win here to keep their playoff hopes alive. Assuming that FNRGFE wins against RNG they have to get a huge win here, possibly even needing a 4-0 to get as many map wins as they can on top of hoping that EnVision doesn't get a single map, else they'll be tied in map wins (max of 16 for Rogue) with EnVision having won the head to head.
In the end though I think Envy win 3-1, I'll be very interested in seeing how this match goes now that Rogue are back in their optimal playing environment.
Personally I'd really like them to make it through along with Envy, FaZe and EnVision to the playoffs but we'll see how that turns out.
Let's go Rogue!!!! If anyone can beat Envy its you guys!
So glad this season is ending with the playoff spots coming down to the wire. It makes it so much more exciting!
EnVy 3-1, think this should be their biggest challenge yet though.
you must not have thought about it much because rogue has been utter shit this season
rogue in a slump lately they dont seem to be that "DOMINATING" team anymore.
lets see if they get their shit together for this game
Can both rogue and corndog go to LAN?
I may be wrong, but if Faze wins 4-0 against Envision, FNRGFE wins Renegades 4-0 and Rogue wins against Envyus 3-2, then both Rogue and FNRGFE will got to the playoffs and Envision will be out.
All 3 teams will have 4 wins and 3 losses with Rogue at 17 MW, FNRGFE at 16 MW and Envision at 15 MW.
That is the only scenario I can think of it for both corndog and rogue going to LAN.
3-1 rogue. Time to watch my boy Akm shoot some faces. This better be a good set of games. It's starting to get annoying all these 4-0 games. Let's go good games.
More than anything else I just want to see a competitive match. I know Rogue has been slumping and players like Soon and AKM have fallen off significantly but they are still a dangerous team, certainly one capable of an upset.
Envy however is just so solid, stable and experienced at this point. They are all so comfortable in their roles and more than capable of flexing to multiple heroes on the fly.
3-1 Envy but hoping for 3-2 Rogue just to make things interesting.
Although Envy has been unreal recently, a huge reason for Rogue's poor first half of Contenders was the fact that they weren't playing in Vegas. they were playing from hotels in Canada on shitty pc's. Then when they got back to the Vegas teamhouse they started playing better again and winning again.
Taking the fact that they are back in Vegas and that they beat Envy last time they matched up against each other, 3-2 (which I think a lot of people have completely forgotten), this is gonna be a close one. I hope Rogue wins.
The Rogue EnVy game you're talking about was like a year ago. Completely different rosters, metas and context. As much as I wanna see a good close game out of this, I doubt that result matters in this case.
rogue looks really good, you have to wonder if rogue hadnt had visa problems and played from where ever it might have been a match for number 1 spot
the defense on numbani by rogue looking super solid. seems like taimou having trouble finding his momentum on this map
This match seriously has me questioning how much of Rogue's slump can be attributed to the playing conditions they were in. A loss is a loss but it would be very unfortunate if they didn't make playoffs because of it.
Easy fixes could have 4-0'd it for Envy. First, switch to the zarya, rein comp immediately on point C attack Numbani. Second, don't overextend during the last few seconds of Point B defense of Gibraltar.
The fact that the match came down to these small, but important fixes, means Rogue made it fairly close.
