Kolsti will sub for this match IIRC.
winz busy winning quakecon 4v4 tournament at this time !
I honestly dont think he will able to win european teams are much better...
I don't know how much practice they've had with Kolsti but this could be an interesting look at how flexible they might be able to be with a more versatile tank.
Rogue 4-0, I think last game was something of a fluke but hey, never know with OW.
also RNG start j3 BabyRage
Maybe last week's poor performance from Rogue was due to them practicing with Kolsti and not Winz. I still wanna give them the benefit of the doubt and say Rogue takes it 3-1.
Renegades have to pick themselves up after giving away 2 maps for free last week.
High stakes game right here, let's go 5 hour Energy Detroit Renegades.
I think having Knoxxx back on Lucio and Kolsti as main tank will be more beneficial for Rogue than Winz on Lucio and Knoxxx as main tank. I imagine they'll have pulled their fingers out their arse after last week and come back with a dominating performance. I'd be very surprised to see anything other than a 3-1/4-0 to Rogue.
This is the inconsistency ppl were talking about with RNG,hope they keep this performance up and snatch that top 4 spot from rogue
Really curious as what happened to the almighty Rogue ?
I mean everybody knew people would pick up on their play style eventually, but they look totally lost.
I legitimately feel so bad for Soon, almost always on top of his game. And i also felt like Nico overstayed on Genji, when you're at 70% on dragon blade and the cap is at 80%, something's gotta give.
RNG map one win has blown up Mert and CommanderX's predictions, at this point, they can only hope for 1 point (should Rouge win) Harsha and Scrub are still in this, but it needs to go Broadway and Rogue needs to win in order to get 2 points
SoOn Doomfist PawgChamp
j3sus is on fire today, playing like he's got something to prove
Yea he is. No clue why you would ever bench him.
Edit: Seems frustrating to me that AKM is all by himself every time j3 comes for him. He is normally grouped up with Unkoe and Winz isnt he?
Seems to me like Rogue need to stop relying on Soon for opening picks that they can snowball off of. I think that's the main reason why their team play is lacklustre since all they have to do is coordinate the dive after they've already secured a man advantage. You can see this in the way they use their support ults early to try and secure early picks.
They looked like they were losing a large portion of the even numbered team fights, they may need to change the way they engage and play in general.
Btw, apparently the Rogue squad, besides aKm, is stuck at a gaming lounge in Canada due to visa issues (if anybody can confirm) ? This would explain a lot. Big feelsbad.
Last i check they are training in a cofee at Vancouver due to visa problems
Canada's ping to the US servers isn't bad though, should be around 30ms or so with a decent connection, could be less depending on what servers get chosen and/or a good connection.
Definitely not anything crazy like Koreans or Brazilians playing in NA tournaments.
They're not playing on their setups, not comfortably, people around, visa issues, players and roles changed for this game. I don't agree that ping is everything that matters in this situation. If anything, ping is the least of their worries.
SDB and many EU players proved it time and time again.
I hope that is the reason for what is going on. It makes sense, I dont like to make excuses for my team, but so glad they pulled it out today.
The setup and circumstances are definitely a huge problem, but the players roles is something they decided as a team with Winz going to Quakecon so I can't take it into account. Luckily Kolsti is a very talented tank and they seem to have been able to work out enough kinks to be effective..
In the end they still looked more coordinated than last week against a team of similar strength imo. As for ping I don't think it's a factor/issue at all since, as I mentioned, it should be relatively low from where they're playing.
Hopefully they get all of the logistical issues solved, but they without a doubt still need to fix huge issues with their play or risk getting destroyed by the other top teams like EnvyUs.
They may have decided on the player changes, but it's nevertheless a factor in a less convincing performance. Each thing that I listed (and we don't know if there are more going on) by itself is not a big deal, but when small issues add up you end up having a handful to deal with.
I agree that Rogue's performances are not up-to-par with what they showed before, and I said so myself, but let's see them perform in their environment before judging the matter, cause I for one didn't know about it until map 2 or 3 earlier.
And you brought ping up being the non-issue after I posted about them being stuck in Canada, I simply said there are more urging problems going on than ping, cause I honestly don't think a gaming lounge is the place to compete in a high level tourney.
These performances are pretty worrying for Rogue. Yes they got the win, but they've struggled against arguably the two weakest sides in the NA bracket. If their performances don't improve then I don't think they'll be making the top 4. Soon for the second weekend running having to be the one getting things done for Rogue.
I have to agree, I think that teams have just gotten much better at dive after being able to play it for so long and Rogue have never looked 100% conformable running D.Va.
They like to have Nico run it on offence and switch to AKM on defence and even though it nets them more team fight wins it feels like they'd just rather try and run the triple DPS whenever possible.
They're all talented players so I feel that if they can truly add more heroes and comps into their effective pools that they can come back on top with more flexibility.
