The schedule for Contenders South America, which had come under fire for being unfriendly to the players competing in it, has been adjusted to time slots more favorable to the region's players. The broadcast schedule will remain the same for the matches.

A South American player shared a screenshot of an email Blizzard sent to Contenders players, which stated that matches previously scheduled for Tuesday will now be played on the previous Saturday, while matches scheduled for Friday will now be played on the previous Sunday. The Saturday and Sunday matches will be scheduled for 6 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. local Brazil time.

The matches will still be broadcasted at the previously scheduled times on Tuesday and Friday, beginning at 11 a.m. Eastern Time. The players have been urged to treat the pre-recorded matches as live when they're broadcasted and to not spoil the results for fans who want to tune in and watch.

According to a source involved with Contenders Australia, there has yet to be a new schedule released for Australia, which also has been faced with a schedule unfriendly to the region's players. It is believed Blizzard will release the new schedule next week.
