Team FatCat have announced two additions to their roster, built around the NC Wolves team that placed 5th in APEX Challengers Season 5. New players Sky and DPS have joined the six ex-Wolves players who originally played under the FatCat name before they were picked up by New Core Entertainment.

Swoon, JJANGGU, Ritz, Mentalist, Edison and Fantasy (previously known as Villain) were members of the original Maxtill FatCat team that competed in the Korean Open Division and the Apex Challengers Season 5 Online and Offline qualifiers. The team was acquired by New Core after successfully qualifying for Challengers Season 5, ending the season in 5th place as the Wolves. The roster was then released by New Core following the conclusion of Challengers despite their relatively encouraging results.

Sky, who previously played for Meta Bellum in Challengers Season 4 under the alias HellionX, and DPS round out the FatCat roster. In light of Blizzard's recent announcement and the core roster's results in APEX Challengers, Team FatCat should be one of the fringe teams competing for a Korean Contenders spot in 2018.

The roster of Team FatCat is now:

  • Cho "JJANGGU" Myung-heum (DPS)
  • Jung "Sky" Hyeong-Jin (DPS)
  • Kim "Edison" Tae-hoon (Flex)
  • Jang "Fantasy" Min-ki (Tank)
  • Son "Ritz" Dong-hoon (Tank)
  • Choi "DPS" Yong-Joo (Tank)
  • Kim "Mentalist" Chung-in (Support)
  • Jang "Swoon" Sung-won (Support)
