Last night, Team EnVyUs owner Mike "hastr0" Rufail took to Twitter to announce that the team had accepted an investment from Hersh Interactive Group and will be moving to Dallas, essentially confirming the deal that was reported to be in the works last month.

ESPN reporter Jacob Wolf believes the investment is worth $35 million, more than enough for the reported $20 million buy-in for the Overwatch League. hastr0 stated that he and the team will be relocating from Charlotte to Dallas as a result of this deal, where it is assumed the current Team EnVyUs roster will represent the franchise in the Overwatch League. The team is currently on an undefeated run in Contenders Season One North America, and despite the team having some of the best players in the world, none of them have been reported or rumored to be signing with teams building new rosters for OWL.

Hersh Interactive Group is led by Ken Hersh, a man from Dallas who has made his money from oil and gas. Unlike many of the owners buying into the league or investing in esports organizations for the sake of the league, he is not affiliated with any traditional sports teams. This isn't his first foray into esports, either. Hersh Interactive Group was a minority investor in a group that put $7 million into Fnatic earlier this year.
