CIS Hope are in the final stages of signing with Russian esports organization Winstrike Team Winstrike Team Inactive . The news comes right after the team finished its last match of Contenders Season 2's group stage, placing second in their group.

CIS Hope came together as a group of Russian-speaking Overwatch players from the Commonwealth of Independent States. The team qualified for Contenders Season 1 Europe through Open Division and finished in the top four of its first Contenders season, ending with a semifinal defeat at LAN.
While Winstrike Team announced they had signed CIS Hope, sharyk clarified the team hadn't yet signed a contract with the organization. They are currently in the final stages of getting a contract signed.

The players will compete in their first playoffs match August 10 against 6nakes. Whether the team will still be CIS Hope or signed with Winstrike Team at that time is unknown.
