MLG enter Overwatch with $100K Vegas invitational

Details have emerged of another six figure Overwatch event happening before the end of 2016. This morning Major League Gaming have announced their MLG Vegas event to be held at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, on the weekend of December 16-18.

The three day event will see Overwatch make its MLG debut alongside Call of Duty with a $100,000 prize pool. The tournament will be an eight team invitational, but at this stage news of the invitees is yet to surface. Check out the MLG Vegas site for details on how to attend and more.

GoW/CoD/Halo have always been MLG's Niche market. They only really constantly host tourney's for games with large public appeal. eSports for people who may not have heard about eSports.

considering they hosted a csgo major it's extremely unlikely that it will be on consoles, the only games they do on console are gears of war and cod, most of their tournaments are PC

Wasnt expecting MLG to pick up on Overwatch so quickly.
To be fair all with all the attenttion Overwatch has been getting shouldnt have been a suprise, just didnt see it coming so soon.
