North American Contenders team Revival Revival Inactive Tr33 dps have announced that off-tank player Manneten has retired from playing professional Overwatch.

He stated that he plans to stay in the Overwatch and wider esports scene in other roles.

Manneten clarified to over.gg he will be looking to get into management positions in general but will specifically look to get into coaching as an assistant coach or head coach.

Manneten has competed in Overwatch as far back as 2016 when he competed in GosuGamers' weeklies with 2sTroNk. After a few months on Luminosity Gaming, he joined Misfits--later the parent organization of the Florida Mayhem--in December of 2016.

He remained with the organization as they brought their roster into the Overwatch League in 2017 and was a consistent presence at off-tank for an otherwise struggling Mayhem roster in 2018. Nonetheless, he did not make it onto the team's 2019 roster as they dropped the majority of their players between seasons.

Instead, Manneten found a place on their academy roster, Mayhem Academy. He remained with them until the Mayhem disbanded their academy team in May of 2019.

Since then, he has competed as a member of Revival. Prior to his retirement, Manneten was the last member of Revival's original roster to still be with the team.

Manneten's career as a player included many deep tournament runs that fell just short of titles. He finished second in Contenders Season One Europe with Misfits in 2017 and finished third in the 2017 Overwatch World Cup with the Swedish national team. He was a member of the first and only team to beat Fusion University in a Contenders North America match when Mayhem Academy beat them in Contenders 2019 Season 1 but his team was eliminated in the playoffs prior to the grand finals match.

Revival will need a new off-tank player prior to their appearance in tomorrrow's Mayhem Winter Classic.
