Additionally, Stellar is announcing his retirement from professional Overwatch.

Stellar leaves professional Overwatch after playing the entirety of Stage 1 with the Defiant. He was signed to the Defiant alongside O2 Ardeont teammates Ivy and Yakpung. He spent much of 2018 with O2 Ardeont, finishing as high as second in Contenders Season 1.

He was briefly a member of DeToNator.KOREA in 2017 before joining the O2 organization. He competed in APEX Challengers Season 5 with the team before the next season of APEX was cancelled.

The Defiant are now down to just seven players on their roster. All teams were required at the beginning of the season to have at least eight players on their roster.

While the Defiant need to sign a new player, that player doesn't necessarily have to be a DPS. The franchise still has hitscan DPS player Asher on their roster to replace Stellar.

There are now three coaches on the Defiant staff. It's unknown if they will replace Don.

The next match for the Defiant is April 5 against the Washington Justice.
