Talon Esports have announced their return to the Overwatch scene after departing in July last year upon the disbandment of their roster. The organisation has purchased Ardeont's slot in the inaugural season of Contenders Pacifc, with the Pacific Championship Season 2 champions revealing that they were returning to Korea earlier this month.

Talon formed a roster for the Pacific Championship Season 2 qualifiers in March last year, bringing in an assortment of talented players from Taiwan and Hong Kong. However, they were unable to qualify for the major tournament after falling to DeToNator.Korea and Libalent Supreme in the LAN stage of the qualifiers. This failure lead to their disbandment.

Talon's acquisition of a Contenders Pacific slot is the first to be announced as of yet, with the future of Flash Wolves' and ahq's still unknown after their departure from Overwatch. The tournament, which features a $138,810 USD prizepool, is set to kick off on the 5th of March. Talon's roster for the event has not been announced.
