Kings Gaming Club have picked up the 4Legs roster that has competed at the peaks of Oceanic Overwatch for several months, finishing second at both the ESL and Cyber Gamer LANs and claiming the inaugural Australia and New Zealand Open Division championship. Founded in 2017, Kings Gaming Club are considered to be a rising star in Australian esports scene due to their success in Counter Strike Global Offensive.

4Legs have been a consistent force in a scene known for its instability. Despite initial success earlier this year, the team turned in successive second place finishes at the ESL and CyberGamer LANs, failing to overcome Athletico CAMO and Masterminds Gaming Club in the grand finals of the events despite their continued high level of play.

A roster change in mid-July saw yuki (also known as animefan) join the team in place of the departing Wuvo. Whilst Wuvo's contributions to the team had generally been positive in the ESL and CyberGamer events, the addition of yuki appeared to take 4Legs' game a step forward. With previous experience on Untitled Spreadsheet, Tempo Storm AUS and Plot 1, yuki brought the roster experience and star power at the DPS position, a key factor in their Open Division Season 1 victory.

4Legs were the top team in the last edition of the over.gg Oceanic rankings. With an Open Division title under their belt and a flawless record in the OCE Bi-Monthly Brawl, Kings Gaming Club have effectively placed themselves at the top of Oceanic Overwatch with their acquisition of the talented roster. However, with multiple tournament organizers reportedly planning events for Australian Overwatch in early 2018, the Kings' throne will not remain unchallenged going forward.

The Kings Gaming Club roster is:

  • James "yuki" Stanton (DPS)
  • Marin "Shoyo" Tomicic (Flex)
  • Jake "termo" Hickman (DPS)
  • Sam "Quatz' Dennis (Tank)
  • Giorgio "tongue" Lahdo (Support)
  • "face" (Support)
