The Overwatch Premier Series Summer has come to a close, with Miraculous Youngster claiming the event. MY's victory against ViCi Gaming in the final was the culmination of a perfect run through the regular season and playoffs, earning the team a hefty ¥ 300,000 ($45,500~ USD) first place prize.

MY finished the regular season at the top of the standings as a result of their flawless 11-0 record. Emulating their regular season success in the playoffs, the team dropped only a single map each series on their path to glory. Whilst Miracle Team One proved a challenge in the semifinal, MY prevailed and went on to earn first place in the event. With Nexus Cup and Premier Series titles now under their belt, MY have earned a reputation as one of China's top teams.

Victors of the Spring Series, 1246, failed to impress in the tournament, turning in a paltry 6-5 record in the regular season and scraped into 5th-6th place after a victory in the placement bracket. Similarly, LGD Gaming disappointing by dropping out of the tournament in the semifinals after being punished for fixing ranked games.

Playoffs teams earned their share of the last available tournament points alongside a more generous slice of the ¥990,000 CNY ($150,209~ USD) prize pool. Accumulated across the Spring and Summer Series, the eight teams with the most tournament points have earned a spot in the Premier Series Grand Final. The event is the conclusion of the Premier Series for 2017 as well as a qualifier for the APAC Premier, with the top four teams in the Premier Series Grand Final earning a spot in the prestigious event.
