After several months of stagnancy regarding tournament placements, Luminosity decided to bring about changes to their LG Loyal roster. Vytis "Mineral" Lasaitis posted a twitlonger detailing his departure from the team, while Luminosity on Twitter additionally confirmed that Arthur "EISSFELDT" Marx would no longer remain on the active roster.

LG Loyal placed third in the previous NGE Winter Premiere, but failed to take that placing any farther in the ongoing Carbon Series. Despite hype surrounding the squad, they are currently 1-5 in the Carbon Series, tied with a Team Liquid that is still experimenting with their roster for last place. When asked why he thought Luminosity was making these changes, EISSFELDT stated that "the team felt like changes were necessary considering weak results recently."

Known as a traditionally strong hitscan DPS, EISSFELDT plans to look for other opportunities to continue competing in professional Overwatch. Mineral, on the other hand, plans to evaluate his options and consider coaching, playing, broadcasts, and even journalism before deciding on his future.

LG Loyal plans to try out replacements during the Carbon Series, and are currently running with Frenchman Jeremy "Hqrdest" Danton as a DPS and Brit Marcus "Realzx" Vining as a support. Currently, neither position is confirmed. The LG Loyal roster as it stands is composed of:

  • Toni "Ube" Häkli (DPS)
  • Alexandre "SPREE" Vanhomwegen (Flex)
  • Bastien "SuperPlouk" Klau (Tank)
  • Mikaël "Hidan" Da Silva (Support)
