As the lights go down at the Mandalay Bay Team EnVyUs have emerged as convincing champions of MLG's Vegas Invitational. The emphatic victory is a continuation of a hot streak ignited by the arrival of Thai wonder, Mickie, at short notice after the abrupt departure of Talespin in Korea.

Since taking home the APEX Season 1 title and over $80,000 three weeks ago EnVyUs had not managed to practice as a team once until arriving in Vegas. Their destiny hung in the balance on Friday morning as Taimou battled to escape in travel purgatory, but the esports gods were smiling and sportsmanship was on display from compLexity.

The first map in their rescheduled opening fixture against coL was a loss on King's Row, but the current World #1 roster was quick to compose themselves. That would be the first and last map EnVy would lose in the tournament, taking down Fnatic 2-0, Cloud9 3-0 and FaZe Clan 4-0 en route to the top of the podium.
