They are the second and third players to be released from the Defiant this offseason. Gods was released from the team yesterday. All players on the Defiant began the offseason subject to a team option.

Aid was a member of the team's original roster when they entered the Overwatch League at the beginning of the season. While he played in a few matches at the beginning of the season, he became the team's starting main support in the second half of the season when the roster became a mix of western and Korean players. Aid had experience on mixed rosters prior to joining the Overwatch League as he spent 2018 on the Outlaws' academy team.

sharyk joined the Defiant alongside Gods to serve as the team's new tank line following Stage 2. The Defiant used sharyk in seven of their final 14 matches as they swapped between using Yakpung and sharyk as their main tank.

The futures of the Defiant's remaining players are still unknown.
