Following their elimination in the quarterfinals of Contenders Korea, MVP Space MVP Space Inactive Jasp3r Kim Hyun-wook (김현욱) off tank Valentine Kim Byoungju dps Rookie Lee Hang-yeol (이한결) dps Rachel Lee Seung-gu (이승구) dps Sowhat Bong Woo-yeon (봉우연) tank FRoPPy Ko Geon-Ju (고건주) support have announced their new roster. TTuba will play alongside an entirely new cast of players.

MVP Space's departed players are Yaki , Oberon , Undine , BiaNcA , attune , Wekeed , eVo and Fuze . Of those eight, Yaki, Undine, BiaNcA, Fuze and Oberon played in the team's quarterfinal match against Stormquake.

Their new roster includes HengGi , FRoPPy , porori , Jasp3r and Finn . FRoPPy is the only new addition with Contenders experience after playing with New Paradigm in Contenders Pacific.

Among the others, DokDo and Jesp3r have competed in Contenders Trials. DokDo played in Contenders Trials Season 3 Korea with Mono Frog. Jesp3r played on BM Hawk during Trials Season 2 Korea. Neither team was promoted to Contenders after their Trials run.

Finn was added to MVP Space in November of 2018 but left the team without ever playing a match. He has not competed in Trials or Contenders with any other squad. HengGi also has no prior experience at the Contenders or Trials levels.

Whether the new MVP Space will have to compete in Trials to start 2019 in Contenders remains to be seen. Blizzard announced Contenders regions, including Contenders Korea, would operate with just eight teams in the 2019 ruleset.
