Saudi Arabia based team Osh-Tekk Warriors have won the largest non-Overwatch League prize of 2018, earning 600,000 SAR ($160,000~ USD) for their first place finish in the Saudi Arabia Regional Tournament.

Their 3-1 victory over Inferno Game Zone in the grand final concluded the two month long tournament in which only teams from Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates could compete in.

As per the 2018 Overwatch Contenders rule set, players residing in Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia are unable to compete in the Path to Pro system. Despite multiple delays and schedule changes, the SRT offered players from these countries the opportunity to partake in meaningful competition. The Warriors were one of the eight teams that qualified for the tournament's LAN playoffs through a series of online qualifiers.

It remains to be seen whether the Saudi Arabian Federation for Electronic and Intellectual Sports and Blizzard will organise another event of a similar nature.
