Grizzlys Esports has dropped players blam and Dahun, as well as coach Sword, following a fifth place finish in their group in Overwatch Contenders North America.

After failing to qualify for the playoffs of Contenders North America, Grizzlys will be forced to play in the Contenders Trials to avoid relegation. Should the team finish in the top four of Trials, it will return to Contenders for the second season of 2018. Any worse finish that will see the team have to play its way through Open Division to have another shot at Contenders.

Dahun and blam anchored the team's backline this past season of Contenders, as the two were the starting supports for the roster. Currently, the only other support on the roster is former Immortals support Aythen.

Sword debuted with the team when the roster was initially announced. Miimees is now the team's only coach.

With their Contenders season over, the team has some time to retool both in players and coaches before Contenders Trials. There is currently no date for when the next iteration of Contenders Trials will run.

Grizzlys Esports is now:

  • Nikolaj "Zaprey" Ian Moyes (DPS)
  • Adam "Spirit" Wills (DPS)
  • Martin "Graceful" Wongprom (Flex)
  • Casper "Pagh" Larsen (Tank)
  • Kevin "Wonderfuls" Nguyen (Tank)
  • Athen "Aythen" Zhu (Support)
  • Louis-Alexandre "Miimees" Roux (Coach)
  • Zachary "Sovereign" Bent (Manager)
