's head coach. The team will not name a new head coach and instead has stated their three other coaches will take over his duties.
Our coaches Matthew “Optidox” Sims, Sungbo “Mobydik” Shim, and Dennis “Barroi” Matz will take over coaching responsibilities for the remainder of the season. Head Coach Beoumjun "Bishop" Lee has been relieved of duties, effective immediately. We thank him for his contributions.

Bishop joined the Defiant in September of 2018 before the franchise had signed any players to their roster.
He joined the Defiant after parting ways with the London Spitfire that March. His midseason departure from the Spitfire left them without am official head coach for the remainder of the season. The rest of their coaching staff helped lead the team to a championship run later that year.
Bishop leaves a Defiant team that recently shifted from a roster that was entirely Korean to one in which the team now has a mix of Korean and western players. Bishop, who is fluent in both Korean and English, led the team through this transition as one of the first coaches to lead a mixed roster when he coached Cloud 9 in 2017.
Assistant coaches Optidox and Mobydik , as well as analyst Barroi , will take over Bishop's duties for the remainder of the season, according to the Defiant's tweet.
The team did not state a reason for Bishop's departure.
