The 2019 Overwatch League Grand Finals will be held in the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, according to an ESPN report by Rod Breslau. ESPN's Jacob Wolf also contributed to the report.

The Wells Fargo Center is owned by Comcast Spectacor, who are also the owners of the Philadelphia Fusion. The Wells Fargo Center is the home arena of the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers and the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers. The Flyers are owned by Comcast Spectacor, as well.

If the reports are confirmed, this will be the Overwatch League's second time holding the grand finals in a basketball arena. Last year's grand finals, the first in league history, were hosted in the Barclays Center, home of the Brooklyn Nets.

The Fusion announced in March plans to build an esports arena near the Wells Fargo Center in the Philadelphia Sports Complex. That arena, currently referred to as the Fusion Arena, is not planned to open until 2021.

The report also stated that the grand finals will be held September 29. The report cited a T-Mobile sweepstakes contest which stated the finals would be held on that date.

Last year, the Fusion denied the Excelsior a chance to play in front of their home crowd in the grand finals by beating the Excelsior in the semifinals. The Philadelphia Fusion currently sit in seventh with an 8-6 record.
