The viewership tokens will only be available in Argentina, Canada, Chile, Denmark, France, Germany, New Zealand, Norway, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and the United States. >

Ok why? I mean what's the point of only have some nations and not others?
Except for possible legal issues (but what could they be?)I see no logical reason behind the choices either.

Yes I know I sound pissed (and partially am), but why Taiwan and not Italy for example?
Why Saudi Arabia and not Mexico?

Nice to see at least in our personal rosters an Italian, really think Nisa could play in a Contenders team.

posted about 6 years ago

Yep no idea what happened on the second map, but went to take care of something and came back to a dead stream...

Whoru is simply illegal at this level it seems.

posted about 6 years ago

He can do better Rei, or at least he used to, just in case Rei should come back (please DO come back Rei).

posted about 6 years ago

It looked like he was mainly focused on EU, Instead he just went global!
Great predictions/research poi

ThisCouldBeYou! is nutty

Yeh not loading for me either :/

posted about 6 years ago

Didn't they specifically said they were trying to get the most British team possible? Not like this is a full UK team, but eh...

posted about 6 years ago

Yup confirmed they played their first match tonight, and Ube honestly surprised me, considering the ping.

posted about 6 years ago

Unless they planned it in time, what worries me more is the language, does anyone know if these Korean players speak Chinese?

posted about 6 years ago

But it's an ult, this would have been a passive always active, quite different.

posted about 6 years ago

So Ube, Hidan and NewFaceGuy playing from their respectice countries, hmm
Svages are winning this 2 -0 (yes this prediction is after the first map I know. :P)

EDIT: and of course as soon as I say it, Ube wakes up and despite the ping carries the team (together with Lui), so yes another failed prediction for me. :)

Apparently no official announcement yet, but they are going to play under the renegades tag on the next match of The Pit US.

posted about 6 years ago

Sinker - DPS
Squala - DPS
Iron - Flex Tank
Anhu - Main Tank
Derenecko - Supp
Badger - Supp

Or at least these were the guys in the match (1st map)

posted about 6 years ago

I was hoping to start playing again Rei, but apparently.... nope
Not sure I like these changes for Sombra, but eh

posted about 6 years ago

Doesn't matter TBA already my fav vs TBD! Wait is it still some Alicus stuff? :D

Jokes asides I still don't understand why an org like SImplicity, which is not exactely a collossus in esports (what are they in besides HOTS, fortnite and now OW?) makes and announcement without the actual roster.

Was it, I don't know, Liquid, Virtu Pro, Fnatic I would still get it, those are orgs with a large base of followers across different esports, but like this.. it's just a bit.. meh?

Anyway always good to have new orgs bringing new blood to the scene. :)

Edit 'cause when you read badly an article, they are also in Fortnite.

ZP made a good point answering to this tweet:
https://twitter.com/TempoZP/status/963440982111944704

A lot of pression on Taimou, Seagull and Akm to become godly on some specific hero (being it a dps or flex hero), the only serious doubt I have tbh is about Akm, I love the guy, and think he's one of the most "Koreans" of the old-school OW players, but do I remember badly or he said that before OWL started he had trials for Fuel but they didn't go well for various reasons (one being he wasn't looking to beocme a benchboy)?

posted about 6 years ago

Not being around here for too much, but what's the record for downfrags? Is he gonna make it?

posted about 6 years ago

That's a possibility, but:

Before the league started Akm had trials for the Fuel, it didn't work 'cause he dind't want to be a benchboy (or so was said).

Rascal leaves London where his playtime is limited, I doubt he'd go to the Fuel for a similar situation, and he's such a skilled player that he can play most of the heroes the other dps of Dallas can play, so...

posted about 6 years ago

He is for sure something they really needed, a top tier dive dps, but as someone else pointed out, what about all the other dps they have?

Rascal - Genji main
Effect - Tracer main
Akm - Soldier (Phara?) Main
Taimou - Everything else/Flex?
Seagull - Flex > Substitute dps?

I don't know something is "missing" here

posted about 6 years ago

Hmm interesting, so another transfer, do you think the KO teams are going to pick up substitutes for the players who were traded?
Or it's more likely (I think so) they'll wait for a later window?

posted about 6 years ago

Damn right he does!

So Florida bringing in a KO coach, to follow Outlaw's method or to open possibilities for KO players?

posted about 6 years ago

Jebaiting with his DK friends like hell. :D

Always on point mate

posted about 6 years ago

I have to agree on this, besides me missing another prediction (but the news wil be when I get one right).
Let's hope this doesn't crush their morale too much.

posted about 6 years ago

And now is London being cocky, you see a Junkrat and swap off the Phara? What you wanna prove you have the better Junkrat? Well guys you don't.

posted about 6 years ago

Yes please pull out Benchokusai!

posted about 6 years ago

And they are/were being cocky imo, keep putting Jake on a non Junkrat hero when he's proven to be the best in OWL so far on Junkrat.

I'm sorry but his soldier, tracer and phara are nowhere close to Profit's and Birdring's ones, and Linkzer alone ain't enough (he's the one looking more tired).

The positive aspect is thou that Coolmatt keeps delivering, there are still plenty of chances.

posted about 6 years ago

This is absolutely unacceptable! Replacing the TBD teams with others last minute, is this how professional OW works?!?!

Jokes asides, this is going to be a good match, giving a slight edge to Huston.

posted about 6 years ago

Totally agree, Florida showing signs of improvement today.
And Logix... gettin better and better also on stage.

posted about 6 years ago

If they could be a bit more consistent... when they are on fire, Philly is one of the scariest team around

posted about 6 years ago

I honestly see them going better not worse, who will start declining are possibly Huston, maps and meta were very good for them.
Philly has no real mercy player, and no Rat player

posted about 6 years ago

To be fair, they had 1 full less month to practice (out of 2) compared to all other teams, nad still managed to get in a position that could still grant them a spot in the playoffs at the end of the season.

Plus they beated both New York and Huston.

The isue is inconsistency and well yes again the meta as for many other teams thou.

posted about 6 years ago

What the actual... Ok it has to be that Philly are so good they want Florida to have another win in stage one... Kappa?

posted about 6 years ago

What's really stupid is what's happening in contenders SA.
I understand foreign players playing for a local org into the local contenders, but entire orgs partecipating in a different region...

posted about 6 years ago

We'll se mate we'll see, in TBD I trust!

posted about 6 years ago

Everyone keeps talking about Jake, but tbh he's the "weakest" link in their team, their tanks are amazing, their supports are stepping up, and Linkzr, well he's simply of another planet.

posted about 6 years ago

Totally disagree, TBD will take this insetad 3-2, TBD had a lucky strike, now that TBD is in the house, it's over for TBD.

posted about 6 years ago

BMing like Jake? ;)

posted about 6 years ago

So are we gonna have what we in Italy call "il biscotto" now? :D
Will Boston try their best to win map 5 despite being out of the playoffs?

Anyway nice match a nice suprirse Bastion on Dorado :D

posted about 6 years ago

I really believe that being DVA the strong hero that she is a lot of off-tank pros are highly underrated, Coolmatt is one of them, Nevix is another, NotE himself (don't want even start with the Koreans)...

posted about 6 years ago

Gamsu was popping off like crazy.

posted about 6 years ago

It's really a pity stage one had to be played in one of the worst metas since the beginning of OW (personal opinion of course), and with limited maps that actually favor it.

Good for Huston thou, between Linkzr, Muma, CoolMatt and Junkrat I doubt they'll lose this match, and might very well win these stage 1 playoff.

posted about 6 years ago

Why is ppl freaking out for a Symm at spawn? :/

posted about 6 years ago

That first point on Eichenwald!
Now tell me that having less junkrat in pro games wouldn't be better.

Most suprising team
Huston Outlaws, I expected them to be good, but not THAT good

Most disappointing team
Florida Mayhem, I expected them not to perform to the top, but not to be bottom 2 of stage 1

Most valuable players
Shadowburn (DPS)
Effect (DPS)
Gamsu (Main tank)
Nevix (Offtank/Flex)
Jjonak (Support)
Unkoe (Support)

Most overrated player
Jake

Most underrated player
Nevix

Most suprising player
DreamKapzer, I totally didn't expect him to be this good

Most disappointing player
Miro, just not living up to his reputation

Most interesting player
Shadowburn, but that's 'cause I've always loved watching him play, there are a lot fo players worth watching

Player you would like to see (more) in OWL stage 2 (substitute, fresh signed player or just a player that isn’t in OWL (yet).
Benchokusai and IDDQBench, but also Akm and Zappis.

Best caster
Uber, I'd love to say Hex, but without ZP he's performing at a lower level than before imo

Best analyst
Bren and Sideshow, gotta love our EU boys

General thought of OWL so far
I was one of the skeptics about OWL, it has been way better than how I epxected

Expectations of OWL - Stage 2
New pickups, finally no more Mercy Meta and... ZP! Bring the guy on board!

posted about 6 years ago

Wow CamRa watchout you risk getting hired by OLW! :D

On a more serious note, it's interesting the order Nate uses when says "we are listening to feedback"

posted about 6 years ago

I was sure it was just me missing a pun somewhere thou, so good job anyway. :)
