I believe they said they won't be available until the end of the month.
That said best wishes to Diya and his family, in the end, even if/when everything else falls apart, that's what really matters.

I honestly can't understand why so many of you would get rid of Nevix and Danteh, they have been clearly the only 2 on the Shock to perform well pretty much consistently since day 1, together with Sleepy I guess.

Is it impossible to find better flex tanks, tracers and supports? Of course not, but you don't fix your team by changing what works and keeping what works less...

IDDQB(ench) is a bit of a pet peeve of mine, you signed him, probably due to some stipulations he had in place with NRG, you tried him in the pre-season and he sort of popped off, the you realized he wasn't really fitting in with the rest of the team, so you benched him even if you were losing... now who in his right mind would pay money/spots to have him in a team?

posted about 6 years ago

Well, I wouldn't get rid of the best and most consistent player they have in the roster, Nevix.
Selling IDDQD might be an option, but since they never fielded him, who would ever buy him from them? Furthermore Dafran ain't coming to OWL.

Just saying, Linkzr is a beats on Genji (way better than Jake) and he's as good as Jake on Soldier, which leaves the Pharah that's way too situational.

It's the 2nd time MG selfdestructs on DVA once the fight is over, with no opponent in sight, to recover full health... Sigh will he ever learn? :(

posted about 6 years ago

Well he did, 1st round of the koth map at least.

Go SHD! 3-2 let's go to a 5th map and take it home!

posted about 6 years ago

Wait a sec, Libero afk? Like Miro?

posted about 6 years ago

Tbh he's a better Tracer than Jake, so I guess if they don't plan of switching off Tracer he's the logical choice

posted about 6 years ago

Did Boston bench Gamsu? It appears to be working even thou he wasn't playing bad.

Anyway gg both teams, was a great match, btw also thanks for you guys at over.gg will never love that "spoiler-free" toggle enough.

Wow! Go Florida!

Well Korean teams still in Korea will eventually become less strong (for a while at least) considering all top talents are joining OWL/Contender teams.

I'd say Phillie, 'cause it's "my" team, but I guess Huston is playing great and just too good of a Cinderella story for me (except for the hideous continous gum munching; can't really stand that lol) so I fear this is an Outlaw game, close one but still theirs.

Writing it here, unless Linkzer breaks (injuries, mentally or skillwise) or they decide they want to try the full NA roster for the sake of it, I see Huston as the final winner of OWL season 1.

I've made peace with myself about IDDQD, as from a player perspective makes absolutely non sense, you keep losing matches, if you change something you can't do worse.

But we'll never seen him play, there's something else besides skill going on there, something way more deep, so even IF he was suitable I highly doubt they'll ever field him, even less once also Sinatra joins.

posted about 6 years ago

Amazing as usual. :D
Still couldn't put in the open what's going on with IDDQD (even thou Reinforce threw it there couple of times), "who are the players that will never see playtime?", well him?

That owl thou.. will haunt my dreams!
Wait is she looking at me.. oh damn...

A jack of all trades "made for solo players", personal shield, personal speed + AOE armor and throwable heals, which will eventually suck at my level (lowlow gold) and if used as a "solo character", but once properly integrated in a team comp, will result in a game-changing hero.

I have the feeling she'll be nerfed to hell and back, but let's see, she certanly looks cool and fills the roles of the 2 heroes I play most Zen and Rei. :)

When you go 100% vs 100% on the 3rd stage of the deciding 5th map <3

They should be treated the same I hope, any news?

VODs are not the same thing as live streams, they'll lose a lot fo viewership I fear.

That said is good that the players and orgs were listened!

That's true, but there's one difference between the 2 teams, while Valiant are actually winning matches the Shocks aren't so much, they currently have a 3-9 score, that's why I was wondering why not even trying the old man? On a lucky day he could popoff (unlike Babybay who's way more consistent at high level, but not as explosive).

For Grim, well the others already pointed out, he's miles behind Soon on those heroes and less flexible than Agilities or even Silkthread, if you then also add Kariv...

posted about 6 years ago

I don't know if it's the same situation as for Numlocked, but if it's the case what puzzles me is that they don't even scrim with the team.
I can understand if they don't play on stage, but why not even using them for scrims?

posted about 6 years ago

Yep the definition of carry, both fo them, of course they all play well, but damn those 2

posted about 6 years ago

Did they just boo Spree? :/

Extremely onesided matches are never fun to watch for me, doesn't mean they are not worth watching, but eh...

Speaking about Jake, and he's not even in for the 1st map...

I think (just speculation of course) there's something different behind IDDQD not playing at all, maybe something related to his old NRG contract?

What really makes me think this has something to do with his contract is that, he wasn't even traded, if you don't think one of your players can find a spot in the rotation... well you try to trade him, but if you want to trade him you gotta give him some visibility, else it becomes hard

posted about 6 years ago

Ashamed to admit I fell asleep during the previous match (ok it was past 3AM but still...), what happened?

posted about 6 years ago

I'll ask this, considering they are one of the bottom 3 teams in OWL (Both Dallas and the Gladiators won), maybe trying and change a bit their comp?
Or the reasons for keeping the old man (IDDQA) benched are otherS?

posted about 6 years ago

Haven't seen the match, but was SDB injured/out for some reason, or simply replaced for the match?
Anyway nutty player this Eqo!

Being first or last in a standing has luckily nothing to do with being great human beings, gratz Mayhem you won by being better than others in this.

posted about 6 years ago

To be fair paolo, what you say isn't wrong, but would happen the same would we be speaking of a big EU company for EU customers, a RU one for Russians, Chinese one for Chinese, etc...

It's just that after a certain level of magnitude these aren't companies anymore they become leviathans, and it's hard to keep track of what one hand is doing compared to the other, so it becomes easier to keep track of things closer to them, in this case NA compared to SA.

What might drive attention to it is:

  1. Money, but loads of it (being them sponsors, some billionaire's donation, etc..)
  2. "publicity" which is what we as a community can do, keep insisting, keep bugging, supporting eahcother claims.
posted about 6 years ago

GL SA mates! First the stuff with MX teams forcing you on NA server, now this...

I'm with you and honestly think by the look of it the vats majority of OW's world community, Blizzard will notice sooner or later, keep figthing!

posted about 6 years ago

Yep it is, all matches on Thursday have started so far at 11PM EU Timezone (like this one)

posted about 6 years ago

Will we see XQC again? Chat is of course asking for him, but Taimou didn't look bad at all as main tank.
And now welcome also to Rascal :)

Yeh bloody affair there. :)

Akm is a veteran, huge load of experience at top level (not just in OW), and as I said in another thread he was one of the most "korean" western players even before OWL, consistent, tryhard and very skilled.

posted about 6 years ago

OWL this is Akm, Akm this is OWL, ok now go have some fun together.
And damn Taimou on the monkey.

posted about 6 years ago

No idea but tbh also Verbo... for a "onetrick" Lucio he isn't at the same level of Tobi.
All Seoul players did better than their counterparts, so yes, gg Seoul!

myKL as the new Alicus would have made for an interesting story have to admit. :D

posted about 6 years ago

All the difference in having a top dps vs a good one, sorry but besides everything else (mistakes and such) Fleta is just a full tier above Agilities.

posted about 6 years ago

Agilities soft feeding. :/
But yes great not to see Mercy 24/7 anymore. :)

posted about 6 years ago

That as I said might be the only valid reason, but still EU countries have more or less similar lagislations for what concerns gaming and online activities.

Both him and Unkoe used her in this first map. <3

Has Zappis already relocate to NA? Last week he was still streaming from Finnland as far as I can tell.
