Well that's almost 5 months ago, quite a few in esports.

My fav one, considering we'll never have an Italian franchise is....

🐨
Bring in the koalas!!!

That said how much was the fee for admission on season 2? I mean how much should an org/investor pay? I remember reading it was steeper than for season 1, but not how much.

The guy is great, but when was the last time he played on stage in a competitive match?
I guess we'll find out, if I was SFS coach (and I'm not) I'd be afraid to remove Danteh when he's popping off almost every single game.

I'd say that yes Blizzard should be looking into it, the risk, as the guy on mykL video's says, is risking the burnout of the whole scene.

On a personal level match fixing and boosting appear to me as 2 quite different things, but everytime these arguments pop up, remind me of "old" sports scandals,

In this case when the guy says that the vast majority of the pros do some boosting for money, I believe him, as it reminds me of late nienties doping arguments in cycling.

Yes different sports, different kind of issue, one is cheating the other is making extra money on the side by breaking rules, but whoever had some direct knowledge of cycling (not so difficult in Italy, I had a trial myself for a team when I was 13 and I sucked hard lol) perfectly knew that every single pro was dabbling with doping in some kind or form.

"He does it, why shouldn't I? And if I don't I'm screwed"... sigh

C'mon Commander don't crush our Italian dreams of an upset!

That Gigantti team was really something to be seen. <3

Holy the guy is really into it, props to him, he might not have been the greatest Tracer, and he surely has an attitude, but he's honestly one of the most interesting youtube content creators on the OWL.

The Pepe stuff is a silly thing, I totally agree, which is thou still a sign.

You can't always "hope" to get stabbed by a friggin fascist 'cause you are gay and you simply don't bend to the flock, but ehi this is the internet, here they thrive the pussies.

Nice match! Could only end at 99% vs 99% on 3rd point of the decider 5th map.
GG Mayhem!

The issue is, they are coming back, and last time they were at the helm of western countries we had a world war, and millions of deaths...
But alas history keeps repeating, and we keep learning nothing from it.

I'll quit it here, this isn't the place for this kind of discussion, sorry.

Hehe np mate I don't think I can run a team better than these guys, mine is just a simple observation.

For IDDQB, the time is past, now SFS are winning so no reason to try him anymore.
For Benchokusai, now could be the time to try it, you try something new when you are doing bad, if it works, good, if it doesn't... well a loss is a loss, doesn't matte who was in.

Wooooooooo

posted about 6 years ago

OK I say we can say byebye to any chance of having IDDQB(ench) in-game, Moth just arrived and is alreay popping btw.
On the other side, what about trying Benchokusai?

Now I love Zappis, the man is amazing (not just as a player), but Florida... now that you found your winning formula you swap it?

posted about 6 years ago

Well Florida is improved for sure, almost back to the former Misfit form.
Let's see if Fissure and the Gladiators can turn this back, all in all nice match!

Lol Shaz on Tracer and Hydration Lucio and they managed to win? :)

(pssst) (sorry yes it's just that I like wishpers)

posted about 6 years ago

I'm honestly starting to think the same, but maybe is also partially due to players' personalities?

I mean they have players that were used to win and believed themselves to be at the top of the world (at least western world), added to them a strongheaded guy (XQC), another top EU player used to win, meanwhile leaving everything on Kyky's shoulders.

Mate don't break my bubble! For the past 30-35 years I was sure anime was real!!
Still feels more real than IDDQB playing sadly...

Well, welcome to Apexwatch League, was expected I guess.
In the end the teams want to win, and if at the moment the better players are all from Korea, it only makes sense to stack up on KO pros.

So uhm... no ZP in Contenders either? :/

Interesting post with lot of good points, but one that hits the spot, your last paragraph.

OWL is not a traditional esport league, it's a product of a company who prouds itself of being family friendly.
Even its actual rules, were it a league there should be promotions and relegations, instead orgs buy their slots in and once in, they are in for good and they paid a hefty sum to get in (price seems would be even higher for new teams).

For how thin the difference is it's still there, these are not teams of players sponsored by orgs, these are orgs who pay to represent their brands.

So you have a big family friendly company who gets money from other companies (some even bigger on their own) to showcase their brands, thisb is why they are (way too) strict on some rules imo.

Will Florida be able to win this game 5? Logix popping off and finally Tviq playing at a good level consistently.

Dallas should have kept in Effect I guess, as much as I love Akm he isn't exactly a carry, he's the stable "platform" on top of which a carry can pop off, and Rascal still getting used to Dallas maybe?

Wow gg Gladiators!

posted about 6 years ago

Yeh I think it's the time, they are getting trashed by the Gladiators

That Zappis intro thou <3

The word recidivist (repeater offender if you prefer) is the key for XQC, that's why his fine's bigger, and makes sense, on the other hand it might probablky give the final push to a player that was pondering stepping out of the league?

I don't know what happened with Silkthread, but if it was similar to what Taimou said, well there shouldn't be double standard, they punished XQC they have to punish also other players.

Tairong, well the guy made up for his, but shoud have receive more than warning imo, he's not a player he's one of the guys that should keep said player in place, they have to be the example for the players who are usually younger.

What the actual...

Internet was supposed to "save" us, it's just turning into a worse version of what we used to be...

So damn fucking sorry for the woman, and every other woman that gets treated like shit, and so fucking disgusted by the morons who thrive on this weridos culture...

Apologize, ask for forgiveness (you deserve it only once) and then get out of our fucking sight

posted about 6 years ago

You both bring very good points, but is not something new, and not only related to young age:
https://youtu.be/C8Nyc9jzSDg

This was in '84 on a tennis court, you'll find plenty of other example over the years and (e)sports, it's the other side of the celebrity coin.

That said for sure internet and the communities that thrive thanks to being allowed to say whatever you want while remaining anonimous aren't helping, but famous sportsmen have always been, let's say peculiar.

posted about 6 years ago

Shock reformers, are you still sure you want to get rid of Nevix and Danteh (he's popping off like crazy today)?

Edit: 48-1 poggers
