Personally, if I felt that there was a weak point for BP, it was in their DPS players. Just my two cents, I could be mistaken.

Yeah bring those U.K. players in! MikeyA is an awesome player.

I truly hope that both Christfer and Dante are in the OWL. Fischer and Smex are very talented as well.

MESR and FCTFCTN, imo, are the best main tanks in North America. Cocco and xQc follow behind them.

I'm praying that immortals step it up and show the form that they displayed during Season 0 and the BEAT invitational. If they lose this, they're gonna have to make sure they win their next 4 games if they want to at least have a chance of making top 4. I'm rooting for them.

One of the best patches in recent memory, imo. I'm excited eventually for Dva and Mercy changes to be implemented in Season 6. I think we're in for a good season of competitive, and a great time for overwatch in general!

Mangachu's pool is an odd one, and one that has him stuck in a weird pickle where he has great niche usefulness in a team, but doesn't have any strong core heroes (besides Zarya and pharah) that you could build a starting roster around. I hope the best for him, and I also could see this is as a coming end to Renegades.

posted about 6 years ago

Doubt it's permanent. MESR being listed here though could count him out of being on the NRG roster, which in my opinion, is unfortunate. Thought he'd be a perfect pick for main tank.

Hope it works out for them! I took interest in them at the first Assembly, when they took NiP to 5 games in the grand finals.

Why isn't Numlocked not returning? Did Christfer's tryouts elsewhere not work out well?

Wtf is going on? Envision suddenly an amazing team or are Immortals not good anymore? I think they should have Hyped starting, not Envy.

UBER YES. GIVE ME JKAP AS WELL

posted about 6 years ago

I feel like Gigantti are good, but bar Fragi, every other member is like a lesser version of their counterparts in Misfits, imo. Misfits has suddenly grown to be potentially the best team in Europe.

If anyone should make a chart, it should be Remiska (Its your idea) or KuroiRyuu, since he seemingly has endless amounts of time

posted about 6 years ago

I called Rogue winning 3-1 exactly. That's 2 points.
I called Kungarna winning but got the score wrong, so that's a point.
Called 123 winning, but got score wrong, so another point.
I called GO winning 4-0, so I get 2 points.

6 points for Pixelfish!

My predictions for tonight are:

eUnited 2-3 Cloud9
Misfits 3-2 Gigantti
Immortals 4-0 Envision
Envy 4-0 Faze

Rogue wins 3-1.
Kungarna wins 3-2.
Envy wins 4-0.
Immortals wins 4-0.

posted about 6 years ago

I actually like this. At the end of the day it'll be the city and the roster that makes me decide which team to root for. I'm excited to see what the names they come up with are!

Also Remiska stop arguing with people buddy, gotta learn to have a more normal and toned down debate

When does it start? Around now?

posted about 6 years ago

I don't see Rogue improving very drastically. Here's how I see the final 4 turning out:

1) Envyus
2) Immortals
3) FaZe Clan
4) FNRGFE (but it'll be Kungarna if they win this weekends match)

Let's go over Jake's hero pool, because you obviously haven't watched very many of his games. He plays Soldier, Reaper, Genji, Pharah, Tracer, McCree, Hanzo, and Roadhog at a high level. I've also seen him play a fine Zarya on stream. Jake is mechanically skilled, but he's widely known and recognized as a talent because of his flexibility.

posted about 6 years ago

That's the thing though. I don't think LW Blue is a top 5 world team without Flow3r. It was just me theorizing though, that's all. I think I'm more passionate about it prob because I'm a New Yorker :P

posted about 6 years ago

Except I didn't say add one other player, my proposal was a mixed roster.

posted about 6 years ago

Don't mix languages? Envyus has 5 different nationalities. Immortals has Koreans. Most European teams are extremely diverse and a lot of players speak different languages.

Players can learn English... it's what a majority of teams, and highly successful teams, up to this point, have done. I don't get what your point is here? Adding Koreans to NA is fine, but adding NA to Koreans is bad? You're not making sense. All teams find a way to communicate.

KariV on immortals has trouble speaking English, yet in a recent interview with Hyped, he said they work around it. KariV utilizes what he knows of the language, and communicates it through Fate (who's good at English), who then communicates it to the rest of the team. Despite an initial language barrier, they've worked there way around it (like every other team with mixed nationalities), and obviously immortals have found their way to some strong results.

How is that stupid in any way? I don't think NYC will find success if they use LWB as the main starting roster. I laid out potential ways that they could find success with instead, does that bother you?

posted about 6 years ago

Yes, we've discussed the new roster already on the eUnited vs C9 thread. I think this roster makes C9 much better!

Sinatraa and Fischer should be a competent DPS duo. Space imo is an improvement over Crems, and Neptuno is a very talented player who I think will bring his great Lucio and formidable sombra to the table.

posted about 6 years ago

You don't throw a single American into the team.

What New York should do is add in 5-6 more players (mix of NA/EU) to supplement the core of LWB's roster to create a more formidable starting roster as a whole.

Keep Saebyeolbe and Mano as a core two. They're both the standout players of the team (if we're not talking about Flow3r). MekO is a good Dva but has very limited flexibility and skill on other heroes. Pine doesn't perform well on LAN, and until Flow3r returns, there are better projectile/flex players. Slyph and Jjonak might be fine, but they are mostly unproven and not at the highest level of support players.

Imagine NYC's season 1 roster to be something along the lines of: (theoretically)

Hydration (Projectile DPS)
Saebyeolbe (Hitscan DPS)
Mano (Tank)
Harbleu (Flex tank)
Avast (Support)
Dante (Flex support)

Season 2 could bring in Flow3r over hydration, and obviously other players are subject to change as time goes on. This isn't my prediction for what the roster will be in any way, Its just an example that I'm giving to showcase what I think could be a successful method that NYC could use. Using just LWB as a starting roster without Flow3r will not find the most success. Using the core of LWB best players and supplementing that core with the best players from NA and EU would make NYC a truly formidable team and one that I'd be proud rooting for.

I'm trying to put across mostly the same point as #24. Jake and Super were the flashy players of your team that pulled off the massive, "wow" moment plays. I think train is a very talented player, and for sure played a standout tracer. What is also true however is that Jake is one of the most flexible players in North America, which is why he's so highly regarded for his proficient skill on several DPS and tank heroes.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's because of Jake's phenomenal flexibility and mechanical ability, along with Super's tank prowess, that you decided on that playstyle where the rest of the team plays around those two. Of course everyone on the team is the reason for your sucesss- that's the only reason any team ever succeeds.

Numblock my earth shatter Kreygasm

posted about 6 years ago

Are you saying... he's better than Jake?

posted about 6 years ago

So C9's starting roster is going to officially be: (based off the contenders page)

Sinatraa
Fischer
Mowsazza
SPACE
Neptuno
Greyy

Subs are: Nevix, Crems, Crusade, Zombs, Silkthread.

Kyb seems to have been removed.

FIX THE ROSTER ADMIRABLE

posted about 6 years ago

Then that would be fine. If they work in some NA/EU players to form a 12 man, and make an all star-starting roster out of that, that'd be great. I just hope that's the direction they do go in.

posted about 6 years ago

So those pickups came out of....nowhere

posted about 6 years ago

To add on: I don't care if they're Korean or not, I'm half Korean myself.

The main reason for me at least as a New Yorker is that NYC represents a thriving city of diversity of culture. I wanted a roster that was built from the ground up with a massive amount of internationality rather than just buying out a team. I would've been just as angry if they'd bought out Rogue or Flash Wolves or Kungarna.

posted about 6 years ago

Jake will find a team in no time. Super and avast are also good pickups. The other 3... they're gonna have some trouble
