How are you guys feeling about this? It's certainly a big addition to their roster, but I imagine it will take awhile for Geguri to click because of the language barriers. Great to see her signed to an OWL team though!
She's going to be one of the more popular players because every female that follows OW will support her to get more representation of females in the OWL which is apparently a big enough thing to cry on Twitter about, I'm just waiting for the shit storm that will begin if they go a few games without playing her and all the feminists start spewing out anti-female shit on Twitter and pressure the Dragons into playing her, watch this spot.
I'm just not naive like the majority of people here, did you see how many females actually responded to the tweet with such happiness? people even fucking CRIED because a female got picked up by the OWL so do you honestly not expect shit like this not to happen? wake up.
But do tell how that relates to me not having a valentine, or is this just another case of anything less than 100% positivity directed towards females resulting in that person hating women, right?
Naivete is pretty irrelevant here. AFAIK she's pretty much the only female OW Pro gamer with the skills to be in the league and a clear upgrade over their current OT lineup imo.
If she gets play time it's because she deserves it, not because they need to play her for PR purposes. Yes people will bandwagon this hard, but we shouldn't let the fanfare or her gender take away from her actual proficiency.
This should be simple enough; if she performs, she plays, if she doesn't she's benched. Really all she needs to do is outperform the other OT choices..so yeah.

Seriously, why are you getting so upset about this? Geguri has already proven herself to be incredibly skilled, and in a meta that looks like it could move back to being Zarya heavy, any time would like to have that pick up.
If you have an issue with women being happy to see themselves represented in OWL, I think you probably have some bigger problems that need to be addressed. You're actively being a dickhead about a net positive thing, and then getting defensive when people are calling you out on it. What you're talking about isn't even a problem that actually exists.
Instead of being mad about some imaginary Polygon headline that doesn't even exist or whatever the fuck it is that's got your underwear twisted so far up your ass, you could like go take a walk or literally anything else and let other people be happy about something.

No one's gonna spew shit if she doesn't play a few games- while there could be some internal reasons for picking her up because she's female, it's also because she's very good, she's OWL caliber, and absolutely deserves to be playing with the best.
