Absolutely disgusting if this is confirmed. She has singlehandedly ruined players career's. Disgraceful act. I feel really bad for Harsha and the players affected by this. Tricked into having an OWL spot and getting the middle finger at the last moment is truly heartbreaking and frustrating for the players.

It's innocent until proven guilty, always has been, always will be. But the world seems to think that it's the opposite, guilty until proven innocent. Or, they think that it's guilty until proven innocent, and if innocent, someone was paid off & the trial was a sham, while ignoring any and all evidence, or lack thereof, that proves otherwise.

Unacceptable if true, but I'm not a fan of this type of content, and he's not a source I trust in the least so I'm not biting on this one for now.

I see no reason for MYKL to go after his old manager just for drama so it seems pretty convincing in my opinion

I see plenty of reasons for him to do so, drama and notoriety seem to be plenty enough. To each there own, but his track record is enough for me to abstain on this considering how there's always another side to the story.

But the way he called her out and the tone of the whole video leaves very little space for anything other than a witch hunt, ignoring any other circumstance that he may not have been aware of.

This isnt how journalism is supposed to be done, just clickbaity drama bull shit, imo.

There's definitely a reason considering the difference in performance between Kungarna & LNL, as well as the differences in where both Kate & mykL currently are in their careers. Kungarna: mykL leaves the main roster to focus on being the team's owner. Kate is the manager. Kungarna fails to make it out of Trials S1 & the roster basically disbands. Kate moves from Kungarna to LNL prior to Trials S2. LNL: They dominate in Trials, easily qualifying for Contenders S2. LNL exceeds expectations by making playoffs. They reach QFs before being knocked out by Envy(sion). Kate then becomes the GM for the new OWL expansion team in D.C. for S2. Meanwhile, mkyL is sitting at home, making up random shit for him to put in a video to create "drama" within the OW community so that people will check out his click-bait YouTube channel. I'm not buying what mykL is selling. Unfortunately, this is considered "journalism" these days.

This makes sense, he's just an angry kid out for blood and clicks, I hope his viewers realize that and he falls into oblivion

If this is true.... yikes.

If this is false.... yikes for Mykl.

the kind of drama that no one can confirm or deny. if she screwed harsha he should speak up (unwise imo).

Leaks are always bad, even when proved correct, but that's what people is after, sensationalism.

If I was him, considering his previous collaboration with the person in question, I would have either avoided reporting this, or at least done it keeping the names "secret" for a couple of reasons.

Now the name is in the open, and that's really not good.

As for the "actual facts", if it's true isn't good for that person, but it could also very well be a case of the manager promising something in good faith before being told no from the actual organization, in the end it's their money.

I just hope that IF this really happened all people involved will get a suitable solution (finding a team and trials),.

I think thats what happened is she promised people spots without confirming with the higherups first.

She may also have been given numbers that management decided to change on her. There's no way to tell, and making assumptions and/or baseless accusations without properly fact checking or having the full story can be dangerous.

I'm inclined to believe that something probably did go down, but the specifics are unknown, and Mykl just came out with accusations framed in a way that left little room for any explanation other than what he's trying to push.

That style of "reporting" is wrong, regardless of the validity of the material, imho.

I mean, Mykl's sources have been pretty consistent this off season. I remember he once said in a vid that DC would get a spot and sure enough a couple days later they did. Let's wait this out but I have faith in Mykl

Exactly I'm just waiting for an official word on this. Mykl is just posting it informally and if it's official it's truly a horrible act

"Owners changed the budget on me significantly">

She seems to at least be admitting to it in principle. Mykl is a clickbaiter for sure, but he usually flows in and around the same leak stream as Slasher. Both are usually very close to correct for the most part. I think people just don't like the dude period.

Especially what he has done with his past videos. They just don't like what he does. It's good she is admitting it like u said. This clears up a lot of things

If this video didn't exist, would any of the supposed victims had said anything? If there was no contract, verbal or otherwise then I do not think so.

It reminds me of the Zappis tweets, he wanted to say something but he was probably also thinking about his career, so he didn't name drop the person who told him he could still trial after OWWC, not blaming the messenger.. which brings me to...

If this video didn't specifically target Kate but the "DC management", wouldn't that have been better? Specially considering there is no proof of anything in it; The video is all unrelated game footage and a single tweet that doesn't even mention DC at all, brings me back to all the Kyky hunting when no one really knew who was making the calls in Dallas Fuel.

This only benefits Mykl, it doesn't benefit any of the LNL players or Harsha, it might even harm them because some of these organizations do not seem to like having drama magnets on board.

I don’t know, this is very messy and not at all how proper reporting should function. Mykl clearly has spun this to stir up this witch hunt and controversy.

Kate is a GM now and GM’s have to make tough calls and decisions in management - including pivoting and changing your plans when things shift. Maybe she could have handled this thing with Harsha better, but claiming that she had any kind of outside motive or narrative she was forcing is just dumb.

One of the thing that’s sorely lacking in E-sports is quality reporting (besides you Scrub if you’re reading this). To much “leak” news and playing off hyper obsessive fan bases against teams, and not enough thoughtful and researched reporting.

Agree with you, but to be honest is the same in all sports (and not just sports), gossip is something that tickles the masses.

I don't like it, at all, not in OW not in other sports (or environments), for sure not if it's done to make a profit out of someone else's possible misery, but the truth is that it's there, and form that point of view he's doing it "correctly".

Is that journalism? Of course not, like most articles on old days' tabloids aren't, I mean, just check these images by simply looking for "tabloid"
https://www.google.it/search?q=tabloid&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiqnsmU8MndAhUIUBoKHXaiCFMQ_AUICigB&biw=1920&bih=979

Yeah, you’re right, but traditional sports reporting has a balance of that. E-sports reporting doesn’t really get the same funding, and follows a lot of the “team hired blogger reports news” model that we see a lot currently (think; NBA bloggers)

That’s just my gripe though!
