It's called reading comprehension, go back read my first post, I never implied they weren't both punished, I was speaking of double standards (XQC 2k + suspension, Profit 1k)

To make it clear, there are different levels to look at this whole stuff:

  1. the severity of the offense per se, out of every context.
  2. Is the environment in which the 2 offenses were made, which is Blizzard's sandbox.

In case one we can discuss for months of what's worse, being me gay I'd tend to say I find more offensive XQC's one, even thou it wasn't directed at me personally.
And I'd tend to agree that the moment both guys admit they did something wrong (like they both did) it should be over.

In case two there's no real difference, Blizzard with the fines is not trying to protect you or me (or any one), but the image of their competitive game, from this point of view the 2 different fines make no sense, hence my original post of double-standards.

That said I'm not on here trying to find fights (and for sure not looking to be insulted), so this is my last post on the argument, have fun.

So...I'm totally OK with being down voted for this but...holy shit Remiska please stop acting like a child and calling people stupid when they say something you don't agree with. It makes you look petty and unable to hold a conversation if all you can do is resort to insults when a response doesn't make sense to you. You do this a lot, and at some point I'd figure you'd be able to learn from your own stupidity.

As for the original comment, as I understand it, wentaway was focusing on his opinion that xQc's punishment was way more severe that Profit's. In light of all this, including Profit's statement, and his lack of a prior offense history I think the relative slap on the wrist is appropriate. I won't think we'll be seeing that from him again in the future.

As for xQc he is being offered help, and even though I want to believe that he can truly change, or at least adjust his behavior to fit the expectations of the league, I can't say I'm as convinced that he won't find himself in hot water again some time later on. He has prior history and even though he probably has far more eyes on him it's also because of the twitch personality he's made for himself.

All in all I think both "punishments" fit the crime, the circumstances and the history attached to them.
