ez for Valiant based on the rumors about SF that have been going around
Enlighten me with rumors please
According to some the team has had problems with synergy, and I believe it was flame who said some members already hate each other. You're right, its hard to say this early but I still dont have high expectations for this squad.
This is a month away I’m sure whatever you’ve been hearing won’t really be relevant when this match rolls around.
After having already played a match against Mayhem right before, I'd say Shock did fine pushing this into a final 5th map. They were already burnt out, but pushed a fresh team to their limit. Good day for Shock overall.
Someone swap out super for sleepy, supers underage.
It's ok, I think they're just putting whoever in now until we know who's starting that day.
Maybe over.gg can reformat to allow more players to be listed at once?
the point of the players shown there is to show who is playing on each specific map. If you want to see the whole roster you can click on the name on the top of the page.
Correct, and the order that players show in by default is just the order than they appear in the roster. We'll adjust the roster when we know who's playing and adjust for each map.
Hard to call on this one but ill say LAV takes it.
I feel like these two teams are going to become massive rivals. Can't wait!
are these already the confirmed starting lineups ?
on paper i would say LA got the most scary lineup on paper from all the western teams & fuel
Should be easy win for VAL, Shock just looks like another NRG hype squad full of big names/social media presence that has clear weaknesses just on the basis of the players, without even going into the private stuff about scrim results and how the team's been gelling.
In going to be that guy who roots for the underdog and goes crazy when he's right, so I'm going shock. U guys keepbsaying that the shock are just another of NRG's overhyped teams, but I think this roster of some great veterans can be much better then u guys think.
But Los Angeles is better. In every aspect.
but how do we know that yet. just like the last NRG team, the core of the LA rostor is coming off a miserable contenders season 1, and picked up a retired tracer in Silkthread, but you already have Grim on tracer, Unkoe, a mainly zenn main, but didn't look as great as he once was in contenders for rouge and in apex. Last, their is Numlocked, who i have to say, was probably one of the most improved players, but kind of slowed down for envision towards the end on Season 1. The 2 Koreans for LA, Kariv and Fate, in my opinion, have just created more problems for them, especially in communication. Immortals lacked teamwork in Contenders s1 and only won team fights when Agilities had 5 kill blades. I think this was from Kariv and Fate because i noticed multiple times that Fate was diving in on Winston way to early and being killed and Kariv had poor timing on several of his trancendances. Immortals also looked much better with Hyped in the line up rather then Envy, but since they got rid of hyped, their flex tank spot looks shaky. Last but not least, we have Verbo. Don't get me wrong, he is a great shot caller and Lucio, but with Lucio coming out of the meta for Mercy, a hero he has rarely played, i'm a bit worried he won't preform well with her. That is just what i think Horns, tell me if u disagree with anything.
The simple reason that LAV is much more likely to be better is simply because of their almost endless flexibility capabilities (that's a mouthful) compared to the Shock.
Shock has phenomenal DPS players, but no true dedicated offtank player- Sinatraa has a fantastic Zarya, but also a great tracer- Danteh has an alright Zarya/Dva, and Babybay plays an alright Dva, but then you're losing those player's DPS prowess if you stick them to offtank duties. Obviously SF Shock has plans for how they're going to play, but when you compare it to Valiant, the LA boys can pretty much run any combination of heroes at a very high level, simply because they have more players spread out to different roles. In terms of how matches for Valiant will play out, the team will most likely be divvied up into hero pools like this:
Grim: Soldier, McCree, Widow
Agilities: Genji, Pharah
SoOn: Junkrat, Reaper, Junkrat
Numlocked: Reinhardt, Winston, Orisa
Fate: Winston, Reinhardt
SPACE: DVa, Roadhog, Zarya
Envy: Zarya, DVa
Verbo: Lucio, Mercy, Moira
KariV: Zen, Ana, Mercy
Unkoe: Ana, Zen, Moira
Furthermore, Kariv and Fate speak good English, and just from watching streams, they are able to communicate with their teammates very well
i know until march, Babybay will be on flex duties, but when Sinnatra and Super come back, super can take over the flex duties. I may be wrong, but since we are talking preseason, doesn't this mean super and sinatra can play?
Nope. Preseason matches are still officials, which mean Sinatraa/Super won't be playing. At least I think- if I'm wrong with that, can someone correct me?
so if we are just talking preseason and the games don't really matter, we can see how flexible both teams are. In my opinion, the plyers on the shock are just as flexible:
Sinnatra- tracer, zarya, genji
Super- winston, rien, hog, d.va, zarya, pharoah, lucio, ( he is the most flexible player in the world)
nevix- genji, soldier, rat
iddqd- mcree, tracer, widow, 76, junkrat, hanzo, sombra
Danteh- sombra, tracer, genji
Babybay- 76, genji, dva
nomy- rein, winston, hog, orisa
dhak- mercy and lucio
sleepy- mercy, zen, ana
I never got to say this Pix, but congrats on 2 stars
Nevix has also played every role under the sun if I remember correctly he has played both main and flex support as well as flex tank and dps over the course of the last 2 years
should be valiant just based off the support players.
I feel as if thats a comparison you cannot exactly make as Sans Frans main support (sleepy) hasn't played in a tournament in quite awhile just due to the teams he was on never playing in a tournament... I'm gonna say I am cautiously optimistic for how he preforms.
would be Shock(ed) if LA didn't stomp SF. just better players in every role imo, plus they should have greater team chemistry from IMT
shock might actually win this if they have a good showing in the first game vs mayhem and can carry on momentum and will also be more warmed up then others
Shock plays twice?
Originaly the first match was between Florida and Phily , but since Phily aren't ready for the preseason , SF sub-in
This match between LAV and SFS was planned from the begining , i guess SFS will play twice this day ;)
NO AGILITIES OR SPACE ON THIS LINEUP
Agilities will be ready by S1 Regular Season. Space will be ready by S2
I can’t peedict this. I don’t know how strong either of these teams will be
SF looked good against Florida, but Mayhem choked so many last fights. Valiant 3-1
im so tired, is that really iddqd on junkrat?
Silkthread gettin carried hard. They are hurtin without agilities. Envy and Fate have showed up to play tho.
EDIT: of course I say this and then he gets a 4k and wins them the round in overtime. But that was the only thing he did basically the whole game.
LET'S GO VALIANT
Great game so far!
Silkthread with the clutch in game 1 and Babybay and Danteh both popping off in game 2. Up the Valiant!
Sleepy is ridiculous
So many PogChamp moments in this game, definitely a great advertisement for OWL
Good stuff, much better than Mayhem vs Shock and it was pretty close too. GJ Valiant.
fate and envy were a good tank duo
Fate is literally insane and I think Envy's english has probably improved and thats why we are seeing him do a lot better. I remember hearing he hadn't had the chance to learn much English.
I actually wasn't expecting this level of production quality, no major hickups, just a few missed replays or bad uses of the third person camera, so far it's been pretty darn good with the birdseye view replay we just saw in the end, and the beautiful stage with player skins and stage animations.
Is there any VOD guys ?
