Best play - In a comp game on Anubis, our team was pushing 2nd with about 20s left. We needed 92% or so to win. I was on Mei I for some reason, and I threw my ult down on the edge of the point. I didn't freeze anybody, but 3 of the opponents stayed off the point because they didn't want to get frozen. Our team capped the point and won 6-5, and I screamed "ZONING ULT" quite loud in vc.
Best achievement - 10k damage and 54 elims in a comp match on Oasis as Lucio... that I lost.

The U.S's advantage is in their tank line. Muma/Space are easily the best duo outside of the Koreans. My guess is that the Americans will use a lot of deathball/triple tank comps with Rawkus on Moira and Sinatraa on Zarya and shy away from double sniper comps or having to rely too much on DPS play.

Jake is a really good caster. Dude is a natural on the mic.

Goats comp is meta now, so all these world cup teams with dps players might not play optimally.

Given that he was a midseason transfer and therefore did not have much time or resources to learn English, I'll give him a pass on not knowing it during season one, but you're right that it would benefit Sayaplayer and the Mayhem if they decide to keep him if he learned at least the basics of the language during the offseason.

So, I was recently playing around with Winston's Lab stats for fun, when I came across something interesting. The three worst match performances by Widowmaker players in OWL season 1 came from Birdring, Soon, and Libero, three highly capable widow players. Unfortunately for them, they were dueling Sayaplayer. Unfortunately for Sayaplayer, his team lost all three matches. Seems a bit unfair to the guy...

Sayaplayer is a very good Overwatch player. He probably has better raw hitscan aim than everyone in the world except for maybe Pine and Carpe. He is miles ahead of everyone else on Mayhem, but struggled to make an impact even with his insane talent due to communication issues. If Florida want him to be at his best, they probably will have to go full Korean in S2.

But what if they don't do that? What if they try to sign a couple more EU players and keep the core of the team? It would be an incredible shame if Saya's talents continued to be wasted on a bad team he can't even communicate with. If he becomes a free agent, where should he go? If Florida get to trade him, who should they go after in a trade? Given the way rosters are currently built in the league I honestly have no idea where he might end up.

Totally agree. This problem has gotten so bad that LA Gladiators decided to not show up to the first fight on a control map in playoffs just so they could switch to counter heroes.

Overwatch was at its most fun when Lucio was still the strongest hero in the game and none of the meta heroes had stuns (Ana sleep dart is an exception, but that ability is fine because it has a high skill ceiling to use).

Blizzard is an American company, trying to follow the model of leagues like the NFL and NBA. It's honestly more surprising that there are teams outside of the US at all, especially considering that eventually teams are going to have to fly all over the planet for away games. There's a reason all of the major sports leagues only have teams on one continent. Also, America is where the money is.

I really hope the MY players are still as good as they were before the team broke up, because otherwise, I do legitimately worry about picking up players from a scene where contenders was won by a mid-tier (at best) Korean team.
