What do you guys think?

I LOVE the themed effects and it is definitely easier to identify teams. Everything is much more clear. It doesn't take an Overwatch genius to follow it like it did before in my opinion.

I am a little underwhelmed with the player identifiers though. Still sort of difficult to see ult charges and keep track of what is going on with them when they are off screen. Again, I don't totally have a problem with this as I've played a ton of Overwatch so I'm used to keeping track of these things anyway but for a more casual viewer, I can see where it will be more difficult.

Something's wrong with the away team's colours. Can't put my finger on it, but everything is just bland white, it looks weird.

I also think that healing effects (from healers) shouldn't change colours, seeing a white beam from Mercy is just confusing. The white heal station and such is fine, just not those imo.

Other than that, spectating looks really good, and the team skins are sweet.

This is the first step to making things way better though, don't get me wrong. Good way of proofing this spectator mode. But it's already a huge improvement.

Yeah the bland white is a thing.. you aren’t crazy but it’s a little better to watch. I still don’t think it’s enough to convert non watchers yet

Ok so I'm guessing damage boost is the double thin beams and healing boost is the regular one. I guess I can get used to that.

with most of the UI features being white or the colors not being saturated enough i feel like im watching the game while colorblind

There are a lot of good things about it, but still could definitely use improvements. They made the barriers more transparent, which does a ton in helping with some of the clutter in fights, especially in a Winston meta where they are constantly fighting in and out and around a bubble.

There are a lot of instances where they could use more saturation or darker colors, like Zenyatta ults are near impossible to see. I agree the switch on healer colors is strange and difficult to follow. If they keep them consistent for home and away maybe we can get used to it, maybe not.

I think in general it could be better, but I believe this is a good starting point. As they continue to receive feedback and work on this, hopefully some of the issues with it will be resolved.

Kinda disappointed so far.

  • If you are used to the in-game colors, it looks weird on stream. Guess you gotta get used to it.
  • Not enough replays of the gameturning picks imo. Why not show a mercy pick?
  • Haven't see the 3rd person perspective yet? Or am I too busy watching cosplayers on my 2nd screen?

There are almost no gameturning picks because Mercy has res every 30 seconds and Valkyrie every 2-3 fights.
Have seen plenty 3rd person, looks fine to me.

Chips got picked up several times? How is this not gameturning?

Not as entertaining as watching a D.Va bomb take out said Mercy and her co-support, or any multi kill play really.

Doesn't matter if it's entertaining or not, there is plently of time without action when you can show the audiance what exactly happend.

What happens with the replays is the mercy gets picked which starts the fight, but there is something more impressive to end the fight so that gets replayed instead.

The white is so confusing to look at. I like the home colors much more. Idk there even away colors at this point, there should just be dominant colors.

There needs to be less white in the names, health bars and effects, but I like most of the other changes.

Both teams have white healthbars.
One team is white.
One team is light blue.

How the hell am I supposed to tell 2 teams apart? They have both white healthbars.

The white actually doesn't look bad with different colors. Canada which is white vs green aus isn't bad at all. Just some have two light colors which isn't good.

Yes, green vs white has been much easier to differentiate than blue vs white.

a team color visual effects bring too much acid on a screen when we have home team like Australia for example, and overall I think different colors on Veffects is superfluous

The game looks very washed out now, it's lost the vibrancy and liveliness that I tend to associate with overwatch. I like the idea, but as others have said, there's wayyyy too much white everywhere.

The health bars are also confusing, there needs to be a little more distinction between them two teams.

I feel like it would help if the away teams weren't just pure white, in sports away jerseys are basically the normal uniform with white instead of the primary color, while the secondary color is left untouched (atleast in american football), accents of the secondary color would help alot

I'm OK with most of it aside from some spell effects being white so we can't see them, and making sure the home team's colours are not too lite since it makes the UI difficult to understand with everyone pretty much looking the same along with their spell effects.

I think they can improve it for sure but it's got a lot of potential.

I like it, but the white stuff needs to be improved slightly.

replays, top down map, and the other little features are all great, and most of the home team colors are awesome.

They needs to color hero that has ulti in live game. Ulti are important and people need to know how to recognize it

I don't know why they're using white color for player names for both teams. I know it has outline with the team color, but when the team color is light, it is so hard to distinguish them. Using solid team color with white outline (and white with team color outline for the away team) for the player names would greatly improve the clarity.

Besides the "White Color issues" i think the new Features are really great. I feel like they still have to improve a lot on them (especially the slowmow replay etc.) before OWL but it always takes time to learn how to spectate the best way (it took a Long time in csgo until they started watching the Person who is alone in 1vX situations for example) so im positive that it will get even better in the future :)
