Boston Uprising might not be so bad after all.

After looking into DreamKazpers streams and vods i don't see where all the hate comes from he's a great player, sure maybe not absolute best top 3 tracer in the world but he can definitely compete.

I know Kellex from Singularity and he's an outstanding Lucio player.

Don't know much about the APEX guys other than Gamsu used to play League at a high level and that some of them while not being on top teams, still performed well.

Also the Toronto e-Sports guys seems the most iffy about the team, especially Snow who from looking at his Overwatch profile makes me quite worried (Gold Mercy main season 3, masters 4-5, suddenly top500 season 6+??).

Okay nvm, i'm just rooting for Boston since they have the only Danish player :(

lets just say there are better alternatives for probably every player on this team outside league
and being able to "definitely compete" is not good enough for a player in one of top 12 teams in the world which owl teams should be

Well, now they have Neko if you are worried about Snow. Neko was one of the best Anas in Korea in APEX season 4.

What teams are they better than???
You could name three maybe. But they aren’t good enough to go toe-to-toe with most of these teams.
But who knows they could be like runaway in Apex 2

I think people are jumping to a lot of conclusions with a lot of these teams. It is a long season and a bunch of these teams have an uphill battle since they haven't even started playing with each other online, let alone on LAN.

Going to be a lot to figure out when they start scrims, practice, and preseason. This is anyone's season you never know who could surprise us. On paper a lot of them look disappointing but you never know. PMA.

I do think this is a good team and they are highly underestimated, but with the high caliber teams in OWL they won't be at the top and likely in last

Now that you mention it, i think they could beat Florida and SF, maybe even Houston if Mistakes has an insane game.

But thats just it. A, we don't know how good san fran is going to be given we have not seen any of these players for a while now, and B, for Boston, you are relying on players like mistakes to make huge plays consistantly against the top teams in the world. I honestly can't see Boston getting out of last. They have great players, but in this league, there are better teams/players that are just plain better.

I don't understand why everyone is jumping to a conclusion so rapidly. You haven't seen a single game of them. You only base on games each of them individually played a long time ago.

Alo stop basing your opinions on their aim and frags only, which most of you certainly do.
You don't know how they interact on calls. For what it's worth they trialled god tier aimers with zero focus fire and shitty, cluttering calls. Or people with a bad attitude that can mess up the team atmosphere...

1) Their tankline is one of the weakest in the tournament, Mannaten is almost never in the killfeed, so i think he plays a mostly passive style, his ults are lack luster and his Zarya is meh, Cwoosh isn't confident on Rein which is a weakness, he also doesn't make any Miro plays, if you compare him to someone like Fragi, or any of the Korean Winstons, his play is meh as well. This tankline compared to lets say Dallas or Seoul, theirs is easily stronger

2) The supports are meh as well. Zuppeh is a great Ana, but his Zen isn't the stuff of dreams, he doesn't get early pick offs too often, his rate of charging his ult is meh, Unkoe, Boombox, and Shaz all have more impact, Zebbosai, i don't really have anything to say.

3) Logix doesn't play that well on LAN

4) They have no subs

None of these players are bad, but other teams are stacked compared to these guys. Also, competition is alot weaker in EU contenders, they didn't dominate the way Envy did, i think Gigantti showed alot of their weaknesses. And also, if i remember correctly, none of the teams were actual orgs in Contenders, and didn't have the resources or coaching staff of Misfits.

Lastly, most of the team was on team Sweden and they kicked Reinforce off Babyrage. Keep in mind, these are the monsters who kicked Reinforce off the team and cheated him out of a chance to go to Blizzcon and play on that stage and show off his skill. They are the villans of OWL and must be defeated.

I think the only thing that is certain is that the top 4/5 predicted teams (Koreans + Fuel) are proven to be good teams, everything else seems so random that I don't know how anyone can say confidently and definitively place people as last given some of the reasons you stated plus meta changes

I think that's the point of making "predictions". They're made before we have actual game knowledge so by nature they'll be almost entirely based on personal opinion with some individual player performance sprinkled in here and there.

So, on paper, looking at each individual and their recent achievements, there's not much to go on, and they look subjectively weaker than say Seoul, Dallas or London. For me at least, this feeling is exasperated by the fact that some very good players are still available, some that I personally rate higher than ones they've picked.

Now, does this mean they would have been a better fit in the team? Not necessarily since I don't have the insider information to make that assessment, but the same goes for your view on how wrong people are for making judgement based on their points of view. I have no clue what you're basing your opinion on but I don't understand why it bothers you that others are doing the same.

Can agree about CWoosh, logix not tracer heroes and no sub. But Mannetten is improved a lot and is absolutely one of the best offtank in the league( i was a not lover of him but he surprised me). Zebbosai is really good imho even if all people said is mhe....but the most disturbings things to me is that Houston Outlaws is ranked way better because they have synergi and FNRGFE core but they only arrived 3/4 on contenders showing a lot worst performances in front of Misfits....i agree they have a lot of lack but they will not be on the bottom. Maybe they will have difficulties before mid season sign and in the first period but they remain one of the strongest team and they wil prove that(even if i think all the League will be a lot more closer than people said and when i said close i mean that i will not be surprised if in the first 4 2/3 teams are not the favourites right now)....but this is my thought :) and i can understand your motivation( Reinforce in the heart)

His hog is insane, his dva is meh, and his Zarya is bad, if you watch players like EFFECT and Sinatraa play Zarya, you can see how fast they charge their ults and how much damage they do and how much value they get from her when she's fully charged. They get nanoboosted and melt squishies, you just don't see the same kind of game changing play from Mannaten.

Well, Manneten isn't a star player, but he's not bad either. I honestly don't rate Houston that highly, Cloclwork was considered one of the weaker parts of FNRGFE and i don't know how he compares to players like EFFECT. Florida may surprise people, maybe I'm a bit bias because of the whole Reinforce situation, but the thing is, FNRGFE were beaten by 2 orgs, FAZE and ENVY, they weren't expected to win, they didn't have a coach (if i remember), they were just a bunch of random guys, they got in over teams like Kungarna and Rogue, it was an accomplishment to actually get in playoffs. While Misfits, the org, who werw favored to win, lost to Gigganti, a recently assembled group of random finnish players, yeah, they had sponsors, but no real org. It was very close to be fair tho. They're not the worst team in the league, people are obviously sleeping on them, and i can imagine a few upsets, but i don't expect it.

That was my feeling about Manneten exactly. Never thought much of him until Contenders. In WC he just rolled.
Zebbo is like Knoxxx/Winz, he has a mind for the game, not necessarily the flashiest of Lucios. His Zarya and Widow when in Misfits were sick too.
And apparently Logix and Tviq were pushing for additions to the roster, so I kinda agree that they'll pick it up after mid-season signings. I wouldn't rank them at the bottom, but my prediction right now is #7 or 8 at most, just cause they're lacking depth with the current roster.

I'm not impressed, he's constantly at 30-40 charge and doesn't generate ults that quickly, from what I've seen, i obviously don't watch every game and take percise notes, maybe i missed one where he had a great game, idk, im just saying im not impressed.

Yeah, i agree, esspecially with such great players like FCTFCTN out there, i think Cwoosh can play in the role of being a dps that can flex to Winston on maps like Oasis where double main tank is viable, maybe even an option for 3 dps.

Well Gigganti is not a casual team......also i think that EU Contenders was more close than USA ones. anyway i think they can showsn up as serial pretender to the throne if they pull out their best performances or fail if they didnt find a way to avoid post dive meta problems

There is not one pro Zarya that is constantly at 40 charge, they wouldn't play Zarya otherwise.

Here's my full opinion of Florida: They can be a very flexible team that can pull out insane strats, they can be a team that no one could prepare against. As long as they get the right subs, for example, if they picked up FCTFCTN, Zappis, Adam, and AKM, then they could run some pretty crazy comps. Like on Oasis, they'd have something like FCT, Cwoosh, Zappis, Logix, Zuppeh and Zebbosai, they could have Cwoosh and Logix dps and Zappis on tank, then move Zappis over to Soldier and put Cwoosh on Winston and run double main tank. But now, if they have the same performance as they did in Misfits vs Gigganti, who weren't an OWL level team, they probably won't do too well imo.

I feel like EU contenders was a lot better than you think it was. In comparison to teams like LA Valiant and Philly, which people are very high on, they match up fairly well, player to player. Tviq is also extremely underrated. He's easily top 3 in the west for projectile DPS, with Shadowburn being the only player I'd say consistently outplays him, and even then, Tviq's hero pool is much larger than Shadowburn's.
