Have they even scrimmed since getting destroyed at the last one? Understandable you have to withdraw NRG's offer if no Seagull but surely you pick a team who've actually played and earned it like Selfless.

#11 That's where leadership comes in, keeping the confidence up. It's not like they would be mechanically outplayed, so they have tons of potential to improve.

They'll be beating good teams on Kings Row within a couple of weeks. I'm hopeful.

posted about 7 years ago

Maybe they should all just stream.

posted about 7 years ago

So who are these guys? What games did they play?

posted about 7 years ago

It'll be interesting seeing Rogue when they're forced to adapt, which only Selfless have made them do a little bit so far. They have a very good PharMercy in their back pocket. I think they'll finish top 4.

So is it movvy or movie?

Should definitely invite Selfless instead of NRG to APEX.

1/3rd of team has infamous personality issues. Seagull balanced iddqd. This version seems suddenly much less likely to perform.

posted about 7 years ago

Well that won't work. Except for Seagull.

NRG are the Harlem Globetrotters. You just invite them. Shame Selfless weren't invited, them and Rogue have earned it with results.

Think Misfits will reach the same level as Rogue, hopefully sooner than later.

There's no way Ryb can't play a good Winston.

Surely once you have three Koreans, you improve your comms immensely by having six Koreans.

You don't need to duplicate too much of liquidpedia. Unless you want to.

Orisa has arrived!

...and she's gone

Can't be Envy, they haven't played. Rogue and NRG or Selfless.

Updated world rankings?

Is anyone going to tell Blizzard that the colours on the payload bar are the wrong way around? I can't be the only person seeing it. It's been months.

I don't think Esca should play Tracer.

Faze are the team that'll improve most by living together and having low ping. But if they aren't moving to NA you can see them not getting into the Blizzard league and splitting up.

posted about 7 years ago

Numlocked moving to NA today, so NRG should be almost ready to play?

posted about 7 years ago

Ah nice, was hoping for something like this.

We need more teams from parts of China - three isn't enough. [passive aggressive Scotland comment]

Are Luxury Watch Red the main team in these qualifiers, or is there another Meta Athena coming up?

posted about 7 years ago

Beef jerky.

posted about 7 years ago

Isn't Moursi pretty good? Don't know if he's on a team though.

posted about 7 years ago

Fragi gets so disconnected, but unless he gets slept too it doesn't seem to hurt them. If it splits the other team into 3 v 1 and 3 v 5 then they probably win over all. Interesting.

They're going the right way to balance Lucio himself but if all the pros are saying his increased heals in a smaller radius will lead to stodgy tank meta, then clearly they should go another direction. Is anyone actually in contact with them this time?

posted about 7 years ago

Still sure the first season will be NA. "Global" is just a more impressive idea to sell.

Have any Korean teams/players even talked about moving to NA? Surely they would have to for the money... unless Blizzard have assured them that there will be big Korean tournaments until they can join the league without moving.

posted about 7 years ago

When the Blizzard league has franchises across the world then flags to represent where teams play would make sense (players usually get their own little flags).

posted about 7 years ago

Maybe they'll Orisa.

Ah, Europe, I remember that! Be really good to see what NiP have been up to, and this one should be competitive too.

posted about 7 years ago

#6+#7, by current do you mean previous?

posted about 7 years ago

EU ultimately too good. Great games though.

Winston defence seems to have found its limit.

Nico's decision making actually during fights is really good.

posted about 7 years ago

Do they actually live in a gaming house?

posted about 7 years ago

Is it Kresnik the heavy and Jake the sniper, or name coincidence? I don't know most NA people.

```Song's area-of-effect radius decreased from 30 meters to 10 meters
Healing-per-second has been increased by 50% (also applies to Lúcio's Amp It Up ability)
Movement speed increased by 30% when wall riding
Lúcio now receives a burst of speed when leaping off a wall```
Whoa. Weaker but more fun and skillish, this could be exactly what was needed. Right direction anyway.
Meta Athena seem to think about the game most like how Blizzard hoped people would.
Are Rogue still playing 3 dps and a monkey? Has that got busted yet?
posted about 7 years ago
What is the tournament?
posted about 7 years ago
They nerfed Lucio's fun without removing his effectiveness. He's reverse Hanzo. Of course he doesn't get picked at lower levels. Solution is to make him fun again without buffing him overall.
posted about 7 years ago
Have to be honest, watching Overwatch without any personal stakes isn't much fun. The game is not tf2. But I will be genuinely enthusiastic to see NRG. I hope this is the start of something for them.
This site could use links to squad pages.
Seagull-Trump, the handshake that shook the world.
posted about 7 years ago
Yeah, most exciting thing in the West for a while, and probably quite resilient to meta shifts. I thought Misfits would get good faster than them, but with Nico and Soon playing like tf2 scouts Rogue might've chanced onto their best possible lineup.
edit: I'm saying 'quite resilient' because of Knoxxx and that I expect they have a fluency in their comms by now, so I think they could adapt quite quickly when they need to shuffle roles again.
