The problem with that is it does not give any time to plan. Blizz would have to wait until we know who is in finals to set a venue and start selling tickets.

It is definitely a viable option and holds significantly more seats than the Blizz Arena. Depends on if Blizz wants to try to show up the other games like CS and Dota and LoL that get over 10k for finals and large tourneys all the time.

They did not "build" any place for the world cup. They use space at the convention center. All the set pieces etc from world cup I am sure could be used anywhere.

The only place they "built" is Blizzard Arena which only holds 450 seats.

Blizz might just play it safe and host them at the Blizz arena but it would be awesome to see if they could put more butts in seats.
