Can we get a change on OWL team flags?

Looking at the match ticker, the OWL preseason matches look a bit ridiculous, OWL team nationalities don't really matter/don't exist, as their location doesn't match up with who their players are nor the point of the OWL in the first place as a worldwide league. I would appreciate if they could either
1) Be given an "OWL" flag, to differentiate them from other, normal teams
2) Be given a flag consistent with their branding, or
3) Be given a "world at large" flag
Winston'sLab has already started doing this, the majority of OWL teams are listed as from the "World" region, which I believe looks better/more consistent with OWL teams as solely a part of a worldwide league.

Ive mentioned a lot of times before how I disagree with their system for this. I think you are correct but also d1vines idea for using city flags is pretty great as well.

Heres a few examples:

London https://i.gyazo.com/76930dcfdce6a6c014650ff4dd9b5031.png

LA https://i.gyazo.com/a6fa612411e3a28727882b55409a833a.png

This would be super unique, very cool looking. I bet other sites would even do it too after seeing it. I mean after all, OWL does represent major cities, not regions. A separate match ticker for OWL (once it gets started) might even be cool as well.

Heres what the match ticker would look like using city flags, pretty PogChamp if you ask me, especially the Dallas vs Houston one, it really represents the rivalry between nv and optic and who will be the better texas team

The flags have usually represented the region/country the teams were based in and that hasn't really changed for OWL. Even though London and New York are fully Korean the teams still represent a UK and an American city respectively.

I can see where you're coming from but I'm actually OK with how they currently are. Hopefully we get more global in the coming years and have more flags to show off.

I think it’s fine right now, but I wouldn’t mind city flags or an “OWL” flag. Adds to the flag meta.

I'm definitely in favour of changing the flags to represent team branding.

Otherwise I'd prefer keeping the current system as I imagine Season 2 will have much more representation outside of USA.

I think for OWL teams it should just be smaller versions of their logos.

It should either be as it is, or they should be the teams colours/logo. Changing the flags of people's birth countries to that of a city they happen to play in could be considered disrespectful.

I'm talking about the match ticker, not their own personal flags on the match page.

gotcha. In that case team flags or city flags definitely sounds like a good idea

Flags are kind of weird across most e-sports, SK in CS us a Brazilian flag even though they reside in the USA and represent a German organization and I considered it pretty dumb when Rogue suddenly became American after they moved to USA from France and likewise if a full Korean line up suddenly end up wearing Union Jacks because of London Spitfire so where do you draw the line?
