2/3rds of Team UK in the same game PogChamp
With how Singularity performed yesterday, the winner of this match is no longer set in stone. I'm basing this simply off what I've seen, so I'm giving this to Singularity 3-2 eUnited.
MrBeck is Danish right? Because that would give them a 1-2-3 flag meta if he's still in, could have been the key to their victory yesterday and them possibly winning today.
Oh, and the guys are good too, but we all know flag metas is what wins matches.
If this was the squad from the start, they could replace C9 in top 4 PogChamp theyre nuts also as Kuroi said 123vs123 monkaS
Sharyk is getting caught out of position so much it's a bit crazy, add to that Vallutaja not being as effective as he used on top of their lack of a top level flex tank and I can see why this match is going the way it is.
Really impressed by the TS guys and specially ChrisTFer his shot calling and leadership seems to be frighteningly effective.
This is looking more and more like a 3-1 for TS, I think eUnited can still get a win on Gibraltar, but then again you never know.
CrhisTfer Eunited incoming....also kruise is really uneffective( as unfixed)
kruise isn't really the issue with the dps. The fights they win 9/10 are on the back of his plays. Vallutaja however has failed to have any impact really, I don't know what's changed, since he was a monster last season
I think the biggest thing that'll come out of this is just how good Misfits are. They decimated Singularity who have so far destroyed both the Puppiez and the reigning EU Contenders champions.
More than ever I really want to see ChrisTFer getting some OWL action. He's too much of a game changer not to, from the looks of it the whole team is getting attention they never would have had they not looked this good, even if it is against BP and an amebic eUnited.
They look clean AF.
Yeah after Team UK's performances, then the dramatic improvement with EnVision and now Singularity. He seems to be the common denominator.
I'd be surprised if OWL team weren't lighting up his phone.
I honestly hoping they stop running the dva and paly some more soldier tracer genji
also boombox seems like is more effective with a faster comp... and unfixed can finnaly be usefulkl with the team
Harsha: I think this is finally the week where eUnited manages to overcome their losses and finally pull out a victory..
As stated earlier, Singularity is not an established roster by any means. If eUnited's teamwork is not up to snuff at this point in time, it never will be..
this is a must-win game for them and they'll do it against a team that has only existed for two weeks....
That's three strikes, three KO's. Brutal...
This is the only thing that I don't like about Overwatch E-sports and it is that teams are super inconsistent. With the exception of Envyus and some of the Korean teams, it seems that every team rises, performs well and then a patch comes, some times passes, they can't adapt to the new meta and it all goes down to hell.
I remember saying this 4 months ago and it still holds true:
The whole western scene in my own opinion, besides two or maybe three teams, looks very inconsistent at the moment. I may be wrong, but I think it was Jason Kaplan that said on a podcast that it seems every month there's a team that rises to the top, makes people talk about them been one of the best, making threads of "holy shit, x team is the best team in NA" and then suddenly disappearing or it simply falling down and replaced by another "upcoming great team".
It happened with Renegades at the NGE qualifiers...then Kungarna getting to the finals and disbanding...then Immortals.....then Hammers(now LG evil)....now Liquid...
After that, I think it went to Selfless, then Arc6 and then Rogue started to go down. I don't even like Envyus, but you can't deny that even though they have played only 3 matches after returning from Apex S3, they have been consistent regardless of which meta the game is currently at.
Also, don't get me wrong. Singularity played super well and congrats, but like Harsha said: this is a team that has only existed for two weeks.
14 days of potential practice WON against a team that has been scrimming, training, going to major tournaments for over 7 whole months. (1 year if you consider that 4 of their members where in the original team)
Like dammmm..and you can't deny it because Gilfrost, Sideshow, Reinforce, CommanderX, Mert, Scrubasaurus and Harsha all predicted eUnited to win.
I don't think they made a mistake because you would be dumb to bet against a team that has had 365+ days of experience against a team with only 14 days.
I think this is just because the scene is very young and the difference in skill between tier 1 team and tier 2 team is very small. So, when a patch goes live, certain players have problem adapting and the team suddenly looks bad. Since the game is new, certain pro players are lacking flexibility too.
Also, I don’t think the recent upsets are due to the new patch but mostly because of the roaster changes. So many very good free agents are finding teams and creating top teams.
In the future, when owl league comes out and roster start to get more stable and team are practicing and getting bigger, this is going to disappear-ish because the difference between top team and average team is going to scale up. Maybe, after big patches, you will still see this, but much less frequently.
#22 I think that says more about organisations not wanting to invest in more than 6 (occasionally 7) players, particularly with Western overwatch. Teams can be built for a particular meta, like this Singularity roster, and perform really well because of it. eUnited don't have a DVa of the same standard as Smex, and it showed. Kruise is the best DVa but you need his genji in fights. If eUnited had a larger roster they could sub in a DVa player when she's meta and perform at the same standard.
I'm hopeful that with OWL teams having up to 12 man rosters that this issue will resolve itself somewhat. It should be possible to build a meta-proof roster then
