Dreading the day that 123 are forced to make roster changes that ruin their flags.

Guess they changed it from UK seeing as he couldnt compete for them in OWC

Just saw that as well. Great pick up. Fantastic winston and rein play and top notch banter.

Not really sure where manneten fits in to this new roster. Presumably zebbo is moving to flex and mannetens dps play has been fairly underwhelming tbh. With so many LFT star players up for grabs to go alongside tviq i cant see the value in keeping him anymore. That is unless zebbo goes lucio and mineral gets dropped #worth

Remiska has pegged me as a tank main tbf. Also can't poi98 call from the front? Don't some genjis like kruise do that.

I agree with KuroiRyuu here, while they got rolled and it looks really bad, this happens a lot to teams that come to a new region regardless of meta. Not sure rogue is a good example cos they did really well in scrims but eunited and LK both went to korea and said they got destroyed and every other european team says that since they came back they've improved a huge amount. Yeah FW got rolled but they'll be stronger than ever given the exposure through scrims and these matches.

Was so hoping the eUnited roster would get the spot. I'll be so sad if they don't get an OWL slot they really deserve it. Still good to see some EU talent i can get behind.

Dont get why robokun gets downfragged so much for saying it as it is. Its silly that NRG are just throwing monry at things depite failing to qualify for season 0 let alone season 1. Even if the spot is to be sold, at least sell it to a team that came close like C9 or envision.

Rumour has it NRG are trying to take the spot so who knows

I think the main problem here is thatvremiska is making a very valid point but he is arguing instead of discussing which makes people not want to agree. Remiska you mentioned a previous thread where someone explained your argument nicely and everyone agreed suddenly. It doesnt take a genius to work out why that happened, no one is going to agree with you is youre calling them stupid, even if you are right, maybe try being that nice person explaining it yourself from the get go and people will agree. On the topic of the discussion i again think remiska makes very good points. The fact of the matter is that popular teams get more viewership no matter the match. Close matches get viewership if the teams are popular and eill get more than a stomp but unpopular close matches are still gonna get little viewership. SK vs some shit team will get less than SK vs frogue but you also hage to consider that good teams are also popular teams so frogue will also bring in a lot of viewers. It is a combination of all things but the underlying viewership numbers come from teams with fluctuations caised by match quality is my opinion. prepares for wrath of argument thread

Im gonna say this as a brit but honestly thunk taiwan will beat US and i think the assumption that US will beat UK in an easier route to the finals is a silly one. They've said they will beat US and so far look on fire. Will be a close match and would love to see the boys take it.

Very interesting, germany vs uk might be closer than we originally thought, although i said the same about israel

posted about 6 years ago

UK looked dominant, the question is whether Germany wasnt pkaying to their best or Israel were actually good enough to take a map and draw one. Think a 4-0 is likely but 3-1 wouldnt be a surprise in the slightest

Fucking love kiwis, routing for these guys although i dont want to make the group any harder

posted about 6 years ago

This is true but it favours bgh because koreans are used to low ping and high ping just makes it more random and less about individual skill.

posted about 6 years ago

Well hopefully C9 wont be using their current roster and will maybe pick up eUnited for the london spot. I still believe!

posted about 6 years ago

Germany has a stacked roster so let's hope they can live up to it this time. Feel like this will still be a close one. These groups are gonna be intense!

In Korea you can't play a flag meta so you have to play name meta instead PogChamp

Didn't eqo trial for complexity or some other NA team in the winter premiere? Cant remember how good he looked then

We've seen what Australia can do so that shows that the Oceania region does actually have some serious strength and we know FW are even better so we can assume that Taiwan is gonna bring some serious competition here, many favour them over USA and id be inclined to agree.

Because of how Blizzard is playing this, I'd expect the casters have been told to call it Chinese Taipei but they will slip up im sure and end up calling it Taiwan fairly frequently. I guess we'll see.

Shame Sharyk wasnt eligible but Chris is still very solid. Hopefully the team have improved from their scrim against random twitch followers after their partners cancelled on stream.

If i remember, it was the sleep dart onto a beyblading reaper flying off a building or something. Absolutely unbelievable skills and really hope he can find somewhere that lets him pull off some similarly beautiful plays.

Blizzard's whole approach to overwatch as an esport seems to be doing something revolutionary and getting it right while leaving everyone else clueless and waiting. Jeff seems to think he's got some amazing solution to this problem so it's hopefully more than just fixing colours and the time is likely going in to perfecting this brand new system, similar to how they've been handling OWL. Of course we have yet to see if any of Blizzard's grand promises can be delivered but for now i guess we stay hopeful and trust in Jeff.

Wonderful finale to the best trilogy since lotr. Excited to see them back on top and shaking up the EU scene.

posted about 6 years ago

Oh so you think they'll pick up a new team by the end of the transfer window?

posted about 6 years ago

It is curious that they don't go for the top teams in China, not sure it bodes well for the level of competition in OWL if spots are being taken by popular teams rather than the top teams but maybe they have something up their sleeves.

posted about 6 years ago

Haha respect for the meme announcement. Very interesting to see an American move to EU though, tends to be the other way round.

Can watch my local team play everyday bro :pogchamp:

Will be sad if eunited dont get an EU spot but I'd rather they get an NA one than nothing at all. Laser kittens i feel has the potential to get one because of the massive amounts of money already being poured in hahaha

posted about 6 years ago

Oh I so hope London gets eunited that would be fantastic. However I have a slight feeling they might move to NA. They've been very hush hush about it when asked about OWL but always say they'd be excited to move to NA which unfortunately seems more likely imo.

Fantastic read and excited for the final part. Will this be done for other teams?

posted about 6 years ago

Exciting news, Will be interesting to see how many orgs keep teams and how many pick up other players/entire rosters. Do we know if any more spots are going to be bought or could we end up with just the 7?

posted about 6 years ago

Let's see if they can run away with the title (that pun has probs been used a billion times before but oh well)

posted about 6 years ago

If their nexus cup performance is anything to go by they'd better hope these new additions bring some much needed pizzaz to the team if they want to challenge the higher teams.

I think it's because the upset potential is so high that its very upredictable. Nail biting stuff

posted about 6 years ago

I think it will be really interesting to see zebbo back on lucio, considering that's what he was on when misfits were actually good. Perhaps misfits should do some thinking if this WC team does well.

posted about 6 years ago

Wow akm plays for so many teams, rogue, liquid, and now Japan!

posted about 6 years ago

I feel like seeing as KDP's biggest strength is having the best dps duo in South Korea, it seems strange to not have them picked for the team.

Feel like it's gonna sweep unfortunately

KuroiRyuu9625
Honestly the only way their flag meta gets any better is if they replace the two Russians with Fins. Not sure how that would translate win wise but man, the flags would be uber coordinated.
